The Effectiveness Of School Discipline

School Disciplinary policies are not used fairly or consistently. Studies have shown that children of minority/ African American descent typically receive harsher/more punishment than those of any other descent. The rate is astronomical, at three times more often than whites. Most teachers in upper class communities or rural areas are predominantly caucasian in nature. There is not a lot of diversity in those communities. Schools could use more teachers and diversity regardless of where the school is located. It would provide the ability for kids to connect/relate better with their instructors. Having diversity also allows instructors to understand students on a more personal level because typically teachers of different backgrounds and race have gone through a similar struggle themselves and can understand why some students are “rougher around the edges” than others. They offer the ability to be a role model more so than a “white” teacher to a child of another race. In general, students of minority are given frequent and harsher disciplines; Students are treated different based on wealth or poverty; and the administration is not as diverse as it could be.

Schools often put race into things and give more consequences to students of another race. So while I agree school discipline can get things in order, students do not typically get treated fairly. Most students generally are not trusted or treated equally. Depending on the situation, if it involves a teacher, the student is usually always to blame. Most often times if you are of minority you will end up suspended for even the least minor issues. These students will miss out on assignments and even get behind in school. This puts them at a disadvantage. Once they are back at school, some teachers allow the student to make up assignments. However, teachers have shown a pattern of not explaining the assignments thoroughly or taking the time to teach the student so that they understand the new material that is being taught. So therefore, this leaves the student struggling to get back on track and possibly feeling overwhelmed.

Many minority students are inappropriately disciplined in ways that disengage them from school and push them toward trouble lives. Black students are only about 18% of a school’s population but a recent report found that they experience 35% of suspensions and 39% of expulsions. These students become “labeled” as troubled kids and a lot of teachers don’t assist in taking the extra time to help. Often times, the teachers will actually give more attention to the “ideal” student while overlooking or even dismissing the “disobedient” student. Even with the motto “no child left behind”, these children often are. If minority students are, for example, unfairly suspended or expelled from school, they will likely perform worse at schoolwork-which, in turn, puts many on the path of dropping out, delinquency, run-ins with the police, and even imprisonment. It seems as though students of minority or of less fortune get more punishment than white or wealthier kids.

Wealthier children do not get the same punishments as the less fortunate children do. Most less fortunate kids already have a stigma because of where they live or where they come from. According to a website, “In the United States, black and poor students are suspended at much higher rates than their white and non-poor peers.” Which means that the “poor” students are not being treated fair like the richer students. That is unfair to the lower students because they are not being treated equally. Making them feel like they are not up to the same level as others. It is not limited to just race but it is even different by gender, sexual preference or simply being different such as special needs. On another website, there were two girls who had tripped a special needs student. These two girls were white. When the school had found out, the girls had only received two days of In School Suspension (ISS) and kicked out of the Best Buddies Club. It was said that the girl who had gotten tripped had a broken nose but it is not confirmed. The mother of the special needs student at first did not want to press charges but in the end, she ended up doing so. The girls had only received two days of ISS because of their wealthy parents. With wealthy parents, money often seems to be the key to being able to buy your way out of things. That is not fair to the other students who have to be either suspended or expelled. Why should wealthier students get better treatments than their peers? The “poorer” students have to deal with the consequences that are not only two days of ISS but it also has life long effects. The girls who tripped the special needs student knew exactly what they were doing when they did it. They need to be held accountable for their actions and not get just two days and kicked out of a club. They should have been suspended if that was the consequence in a whole. Maybe apologizing to the child in front of the school would have been more appropriate since they embarrassed her in front of the student body.

Students in many schools are not being treated fairly by the teaching administration. Sometimes, when a student sees that they are not being treated fairly they can start to act out more. Race most times play into it. African American students are not treated fairly, the majority of time. A “black” boy in baggy pants was disciplined while a “white” girl in a short skirt, also against dress code, is left alone. In that same article it mentioned a girl getting suspended for fighting but the principal didn’t realize she’s been repeatedly harrassed for being “queer”. Two separate incidents but in the first event the “black” boy received punishment while they looked the other way when it came to the “white” girl. The second issue was the girl got in trouble for fighting but the staff failed to fix the bullying part which is what sparked the girl to fight to begin with. The children who were bullying probably didn’t even receive any form of punishment. I’ve even had my own personal experiences where I have done something minor and not disruptive to anybody but the teacher came over to me and got onto me. Another student who was not of the same race got away with doing the same thing multiple times. In a different class, students sleep and if a classmate asks for help or for clarification, we immediately get in trouble while the students who are sleeping get no repercussions. The Civil Rights Data Collection from 2013-2014, which included data for 99% of public schools and districts in the country. Among the findings is that black and latino children are disproportionately issued school suspensions as early as pre-kindergarten. Black preschoolers are 3.5 times more likely than their white peers to be suspended-despite an overall decline in overall suspension nationwide.

I was doing my work and I wasn’t being disrespectful about it when I asked for help on a question. This makes me feel like I am not enough or valued like the other students who do something that is distracting but not corrected. Back at the Freshman Academy, one of my friends was wearing a bandana and a school administrator came over to him and told him to take it off because it seemed “gang related”. But when we turned around there was a girl wearing the same exact bandana on her head. The administrator even went over to her and had a conversation. Not once did she tell her to take it off or put it away. She just talked to her and then said to go to class. How is it that a caucasion student can wear a bandana but an African American student can’t because it’s “gang related”. If a bandana is “gang related” it should not matter whether it is female or male, black or white, rich or poor. If it is “gang related” for one it should be “gang related” for all.

School disciplines can be positive and effective if it was used less and more efficiently/fairly. It can help provide structure and standards for what is acceptable behavior for certain situations. However, it must be used fairly and consistently across the board to work. Most students follow school rules because they know that there are consequences to their actions and behaviors. If the staff tried to understand the root of the issue or offered additional redirection, there would not be as much disruption in the classroom.

In conclusion as facts and personal experiences have shown, school discipline can be effective. However, for discipline to be effective it needs to be consistent and fairly implemented regardless of a person’s race, sex, sexual orientation, or social status. There are several ways that can help improve the climate and safety in the schools as well as reduce discipline unfairness. If teachers will get to know their students as a person and learn how they interact or take the time to notice ques, can make a difference. Doing controlled studies or video recordings with coaches to help point out errors and build foundations on how to handle the situation differently would be an option. Teachers establishing respect by giving respect is a tremendous step. Not walking into a classroom with the mindset of “white” is smart and “black” as criminal or a nuisance. Learning to take a step back and not make quick judgments or bias opinions. Problem solving is a great key factor. Trying to figure out if the student is acting out because they are not understanding the material so therefore they are drawing attention or shutting down. They do not want to be looked at as stupid so they divert focus. Trying to find out the students background, is there trauma, is something happening at home, do they feel safe? All of this can play into how one acts as a student who is needing emotional support and unsure how to express themselves. Taking more time to learn each student and their backgrounds instead of “I am here to do a job”, is key in success for changing the unfair disciplines that surround our students in schools. Thorough investigation including discipline/correction of the teachers behaviors also can help.

The Philosophy Of Discipline Policy At School

My overall philosophy of discipline is that it should be fair, consistent, and reflect what would happen at a full-time job. I believe that schools are to teach students how to be good employees. With that in mind, I believe that discipline should reflect what their consequences would be like when they have a full-time job. For example, if they were rude to their boss, they would get written up. The equivalent of being written up at your job would be to get detention at school. Furthermore, if the students were to do something that would get them fired from their job, they would earn a day or two in ISS (In-School Suspension) or if it were severe enough OSS (Out-School Suspension). I want my students to be aware of what is acceptable when they are out in the world of employment. They should leave my classroom as employable and respectful human beings.

Current Discipline Policy

The rules in my classroom are to not speak while I am speaking, no cell phones or headphones out while I am teaching, be on time to class, and to pick up trash before you leave the classroom. I do one verbal warning with a detention on the second verbal warning. I email parents when I give detentions with details of what the student did to deserve the detention. I don’t give very many detentions because the verbal warnings usually do the trick. I do not believe that a student should get detention on the first offense (unless they cuss at me or bully other students) because with the special education students I work with, they may just not be aware that what they are doing is disrespectful or rude. I always let my students know that what they are doing would not be appropriate if they were at a job, therefore it is not appropriate at school and I let them know that if they keep the behavior up, they will get a detention. If they continue to be disrespectful, I follow through with the detention. If a student is tardy to my class (even by ten seconds), they get detention because if they were to be late for their job, they would get written up for it.

Development of Policy

As I mentioned earlier, I developed my discipline policy by thinking of the common discipline policy of full-time employers. I attempted to reflect the policy of full-time employers into the classroom so that my students are employable when they leave my class. The tardy policy is enforced by the school, but some teachers don’t follow it. I am not one of those teachers. In my first year teaching, I allowed my students to be a few seconds late, but I noticed that they were taking advantage of my kindness so I began to be very strict and now I don’t tolerate being tardy at all. I talk about how a job or a boss wouldn’t allow certain behaviors at the job site so I won’t allow the behaviors in the classroom.

Sending Students to Administration

I don’t send students to administration very often. This is my second year teaching and I’ve only had to call the administration three times. The first time was because a student was refusing to sign a detention slip, the second time was because a student refused to follow directions or to listen to me, and the third time a student cussed at me. I try not to rely on the principals to take care of my disciplinary needs because I want the students to view me as the main disciplinary. If I send the students to the office over every little thing, two things will happen–the principals will begin to think I have poor classroom management skills and the students will begin to see that I don’t have authority over my classroom. Another reason I don’t like to send students to the office so much is that it takes away from their learning. The more they are out of the classroom, the less time they spend learning something new. The only time students should be sent to the principal is if they are bullying other students, cuss at me/other students, or are acting out so outrageously that it is disrupting instruction time. If I’m not able to handle within a minute, then I send them out to the hallway and call a principal to the classroom.

Corporal Punishment

The school I work at doesn’t allow corporal punishment. I agree that corporal punishment should not be allowed at school. As I previously mentioned, I believe that schools should reflect how employment works and even at jobs, people are not paddled. They are simply fired or suspended without pay. Not to mention corporal punishment is physically hurting someone. Students should not be taught that paddling someone is the way to get someone to behave the way you want them to. They should be taught that there are non-physical ways to achieve the desired behavior.

Conclusion

All in all, my philosophy of discipline was developed when I was asked to decide what the purpose of the school was. Students are taught so many things at school, but the main thing that students are taught is how to become valuable members of society. With that in the back of my mind, I decided that discipline should also reflect the kind of consequences they would face at a job so that they are prepared for their future after school. I teach special education students so I believe the best way to help them is to teach them how to be good employees so they can provide for themselves and their future families. I don’t want my students to rely on a government check to stay fed and housed. I want them to be good employees and have the ability to get and maintain a job.

Approaches And Techniques For Handling With Disrupting Pupils

Discipline issue is an experience that creates anxiety, terror and worry for maximum educators. It occur in many ways comprising, disturbing conversation, soundless reactions, napping in class, unpunctuality and poor presence, not seriously taken home assignments, deceitful in quizzes and assessments and speak in disrespectful way with educators and peers in the classroom. There are various reasons for discipline issue; it can originate from pupils’ responses to their instructor’s conduct or from other aspects internal or external the class or school. Of any kind the practice discipline difficulty proceeds, we must recognize why does it happen? What can educators assume and how can they commendably deal with discipline issue?

Education is mutually a science and an art when it comes to pupils of 3 to 12 year academic age group. It is the procedure that helps knowledge, and it necessitates a stability of numerous influences in tangible routine: information, expertise, and potentials of behavior. On the other hand, the educator is equally a mentor and an apprentice. However, he/she also creates inaccuracies; he/she is a human too. Conversely, the classroom atmosphere consists of how the educator performances and pupils act in reaction to the educator manner. One struggle repeatedly come across by educators is the issue of upholding discipline in the class during lesson. The educator may face several types of troublesome conduct which are not restrained to one age cluster. In this circumstance these conducts turn out to be a hindrance for the educator, so it’s the duty of the educator to produce a properly organized learning atmosphere, where he/she can do his work magnificently.

Approaches

There are certain approaches that can support the educator reduce and grip discipline issue and build curiosity and eagerness in classroom setting. The educator’s conduct and the association he/she has with the pupils can support to avoid self-control problematic from ever happening. To avoid this difficulty, several queries should be postured: where does the educator viewpoint? Is the educator smacking behind a table or upright nearby to the pupils? Does he/she take round during the lesson? So when the instructor moves everywhere the class, or troublesome pupils will be quiet, and the minor tone speak well of is more dutiful than an upper tone. Also looking into the eyes of the pupils is an important organization gesture; the educator must stare at his pupils when he is teaching them because it supports the educator to identify if they comprehend or need more assistance.

Pupils are considerably extra judging in instructor’s conduct and his/her etiquettes. If the educator workings fabulously, he/she will have virtuous status and he/she will be recognized as an endearing and remarkable educator, but if he/she is not, decent pupils will dislike him/her. Pupils respond to the whole thing about the instructor: how does the educator appearance? What does he/she see to, what does him/her give or take? And how does he/she behave? So, smartness indicates the manner educator accomplishes the subject of the lessons, and is significant to appeal pupil’s consideration. The educator must govern him, as pupils will assess his/her endurance, but graciously he/she will be capable to portray outlines of admiration.

For pupil’s disobedience, certain educators practice diverse types of penalties to deal such difficulties, but the penalty would imitate educator’s understanding to confined customs and potentials. For instance, if a pupil disturbs the class, then the educator should give him/her consideration. Practice straight look into his/her eyes, or come near to the pupil, or he/she can shift in the center of the class and look right at him or her which creates chaos in the class. Or else, repeat him that you will see him after the lesson as several pupils dislike being disgraced and outraged in the presence of their fellow pupils. Furthermore, when the educator acquires pupil’s names as rapidly as he could, this detail can make a polite connection with pupils, it is by some means tough, but well ahead on and through learning by heart, the educator will pick up the names of pupils.

Moreover, when the educator makes a blunder in syllabus work or social customs, he/she must confess the blunder, as pupils will acquire that faults are the part of the educational procedure. Moreover, he needs to be familiar with how to handle the pupil’s queries when he/she doesn’t know the solution.

In the meantime when pupils generate errors, then reassure them, the educator need to make clear the awareness that these errors are parts of their educational procedure.

Presentational Remedies

To control the certain level of conduct issue, a number of methods that evidenced very operative would be in use:

  • A lot of educators create the blunder of beginning the academic session with a deprived discipline strategy. Once you made a practice of permitting a lot of disturbances, it can be very tough to start well class organization and self-control methods.
  • A strong instructor-pupil association will be built by the educator at the start of the session. Both the teacher and the pupils know their limits and treat one another in a respective way. Pupil would accept the educator‘s power and rights. Meanwhile educator would be familiar with the kind of conduct that is accurate and tolerable for his/her status when he/she interrelates with pupils. Also he/she know what would be caused of his which action. So always be careful when he/she decide something to do?
  • All the pupils in my class would well know what conduct is tolerable and which performance led them down and not suitable. As a teacher I set rubrics of the class and clearly tell them before session started. Every morning after greeting and chitchat, remind the pupils what we expect from them. For instance, talk about uniform neatness and self-hygiene on regular basis. Then punctuality not only appearing in school but also completing the assignment well on time. Raise your hand when you want to ask any question or want to tell any answer. Always behave respectably in the class with fellow students and keep their emotions in control when someone gives his/her opinion on any topic which was the talk of the day.
  • As a teacher we must know the ability of each and every student in our class. We assess them on and off and according to that we plan our lesson on three different levels. In this way we can take along all the students together and give them adequate knowledge and information which is required according to the course in which they enroll or according to their cognitive ability how much they acquire. We can also use diverse strategies for attaining set objectives.
  • Always showed up with equipped knowledge and activities only in this ways we can keep the discipline in the class during lesson and activities.
  • During the lesson if students start conversation then don’t stop the instruction. Move around and give them the feeling that you know what is they doing or simply involve them by asking questions related to the topic which is going on. Yelling and shouting on pupils gave them bad impression and perhaps shatter their confidence.
  • During the lesson if you ask a question to a student and he is unable to answer then don’t scold him on then and now. Just mold your question to clarify what you were asking or still if he confused then explain the concept again. In this way his confusions solved and he became more attentive and enthusiastic than ever before. Always raise the bars of the motivation level high in the class.
  • During any lesson or topic if a pupil gets involved in the heating discussion with the teacher she must ignore that and quickly get rid of this situation. As yelling and screaming not leave a good impression. Always try to keep your status high don’t come up with your students level as they are young enough. Don’t understand and emotionally react. Try to forget quickly don’t hold on things for so long towards any pupil.
  • Always keep justice in the classroom and handle each and every pupil with the same respect and manner which he/she deserves. For this purpose if an intelligent or the favorite student did something wrong then punish him as well? This is the only way to teach a lesson too all at once.
  • During quizzes and assessment move around the class. Let the pupil attempt the questionnaire fully and after he/she submitted then you make corrections. During the paper don’t stand beside them and read their papers. In this ways they can get confused and make mistakes even if they know the answers.

Undoubtedly the part of the educator cannot be inscribed in ordinary verses. It’s his/her job to show the part of a manager and planner, and he/she would also be someone who escorts pupils instead of somebody who is oppressive in the class. The educator requires presenting admiration to pupils; instead the pupils also would admire their educator. The instructor needs to keep in notice that he clarifies numerous pupils who carry dissimilar conducts and behavior as they come from diverse upbringings. The most important part in teaching is that educator accept this reality that the pupils he/she had faced are from different families and their ethics and moral values and dissimilar from one another. He/she should accept how they act and conduct. Most of the time student’s conduct clearly shows that he is been through tough time may be stressed from studies or could be something went wrong at home. For this purpose, educators must pay consideration if they feel unusual behavior in any of his student.

The Ways And Methods To Discipline A Child

Discipline is the approach of raising a child while guiding them through learning right and wrong behaviors. There are many variations of discipline can that be effective for different behaviors. Unfortunately, many times child discipline is taken upon in ways that are undermining the child rather than preparing them to be successful adults.

Children being incorrectly disciplined can cause many problems as they grow older. Many parents do not know what they are doing to the child’s mentality when physically punishing their children. Jan Hunt, Director of the Natural Child Project argues, “Hitting children teaches them to become hitters themselves. Extensive research data is now available to support a direct correlation between corporal punishment in childhood and aggressive or violent behavior in the teenage and adult years” (www.naturalchild.org). In fact, physical punishment is said to be a big part of many murderer’s adolescent lives. In addition, Hunt also describes spanking, a form of physical punishment, to be dangerous because it may injure the lower spine. Specifically, Hunt states, “children have become paralyzed through nerve damage from spanking, and some have died after mild paddlings, due to undiagnosed medical complications.” Without a doubt, traditional forms of discipline have been proved to be not only ineffective, but remarkably detrimental to children.

On the contrary, there are a number of solutions to the issue of defective discipline which many parents have an inclination to enforce on their children. One of these solutions is to be firm. In some instances, parents often tend to be nice, and not firm enough. In contrast, others are too firm and not nice enough. The key is to find the fine line right in the middle of the two and simply- be firm. This includes making sure your word is what goes and your child cannot sneak their way out of it. To illustrate, if a child refuses to sit in a time out, you may need to “remain nearby to monitor them” and for some, it is recommended by experts to “[have] a ‘time-in’ rather than a ‘time-out’ which consists of sitting with the child to talk and reflect about their behavior” (time.com). Finding ways to teach your child a lesson even though they may reject the discipline is the idea of being firm, and it is a great model to teach children to listen. As a parent, it is important to understand “that firmness is necessary to avoid permissiveness. Permissiveness is not healthy for children” as it may lead to misbehavior, as said by Alexandra Sifferlin, a journalist for Time Magazine. Creating and enforcing boundaries, and having reasonable consequences for crossing those boundaries is the foundation of being an assertive parent. However, as any other forms of parenting, there are weaknesses to being firm. To begin with, all parents struggle to say “no” to their kids. This struggle is based off the fact that parents would rather give in to their children’s wants rather than deal with their anger when they are told no. But in the long run, this is only setting you and your child up for failure. For example, when children grow older and get rejected, they might find themselves in absolute shock. That is to say, being an assertive parent prepares children for real-life. Another weakness of being firm is that if you haven’t been doing it all along, it can be quite hard for your child to get used to. It really depends on the child and on you, as a parent. Nevertheless, no matter how rocky the path may be, implementing your rules and remaining firm as a parent is going to be well worth it in the end for both parent and child. Therefore, it is important not to give up in the stage of transition from a previous discipline style to a more assertive one. Even more, one last imperfection to this solution is that kids who come from backgrounds with firm parents have been said to have lower self esteem because they might get used to being told what to do and how to do it. Thus, when they are to be independent, they might question themselves. Aside from these points, taking a firm stand in your rules with your child can be one of the best ways to discipline your child. With this approach, your child will learn that what you say is what goes, as opposed to making you give in to their wants. Also, children of this discipline style have a strong sense of what is wrong and what is right, and where the line stands. Along with that, they know what is expected of them, which will give them a good mindset of striving to be their best. The results of assertive or firm parenting may take time to be seen, but the improvement will be there. With this, children will carry out their good behaviors with them into adulthood, allowing them to be successful. Undoubtedly, the solution of being a firm parent can be ideal to any parent, even with its weaknesses.

In addition to an assertive style, making sure you connect with your child on an emotional level is another solution to the problem of incorrect discipline. What this means is that you, as a parent, analyze your personality and your child’s personality. Psychotherapist, Amy Morin, asserts, “Developing an awareness of your temperament can help ensure your parenting in a way that teaches your children the life skills they need to become responsible adults” (www.verywellfamily.com). This can help you find the right techniques to parent your child. In another instance, Morin also states, “A firm redirection may be an effective consequence for a sensitive child. But a strong-willed child may not be phased unless she loses her privileges” (wwww.verywellfamily.com). In short, knowing your child is one of the best strategies to making the path to good behavior smooth. In like manner, as other styles of discipline, this solution includes a couple of weaknesses. For one thing, as a parent, you may find yourself to be too hard on the child. It may be for a good cause, because you want the best for them; however, it’s important to stay grounded and know what you want for the child in the long run. Moreover, another negative effect of this problem is that your child may be too dependent on your support, since that is the one of the keys of this solution. In the end, when you know your child, then you can strategize the best ways to teach your child good behavior as opposed to picking strategies that don’t work.

Lastly, the most favored solution to ineffective punishment is the use of positive reinforcement. Such a technique is to teach children good behavior with a rewarding system that motivates them. One example of positive reinforcement, used and described by Katazyna Bisaga, M.D.,Ph.D., in Stefan William’s article “How Experts DIscipline Their Children,” is to use a points system for every good behavior a child does. Such behaviors can include: using the toilet alone (if being potty trained), cleaning their room, washing their hands, brushing their teeth, and any good rewards at school. Bisaga states, “At the end of the week, the results were tallied and he earned 10 cents for every three points. Marcin would look forward to buying Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and Bionicles with his loot” (www.parents.com). With this system, children can find a way to look forward to getting used to normal behaviors and possibly even enjoy them. Another instance of positive reinforcement includes creating goals for children and working to achieve them. In other words, Tina Ann DePomer mentions, “Set goals to your kids for future to keep the improvement in progress. Like when combing your kid’s hair you may add ‘I can be surprised if I find you combing your hair on your own. In fact, I’d feel great about it’” (www.newkidscenter.com). With this, not only will the child improve their behavior but also continue to do so. Along with this solution, comes some imperfections. One in particular includes that this may teach children to always expect a prize in return for their good behavior. This would mean that if nothing is given in return, the child may not complete the action. This can be a negative aspect because in adulthood, many things are expected to be done with no reward. Therefore, this can set them up to have a harder time when they grow older. However, if a parent is careful enough to not cross the line between positive reinforcement and bribery, then this problem should not occur. Additionally, with this solution, it might take longer to modify behaviors. This would be due to the fact that the child may focus more on the attention they get from the parent more than the reward. To avoid this issue, Dr. Nadja Reilly, a clinical psychologist and the associate director of the Freedman Center for Child and Family Development, gives an example about homework (www.care.com). She describes, “When you see your child independently starting her homework, you can use verbal positive reinforcement as a way to encourage her to continue to do it,” and instead of focusing on the completed action of doing homework to “focus on the process of doing the homework itself rather than on how your child does on the homework” (www.care.com). This gives the child motivation through verbal encouragement to keep going. Indeed, there are negative aspects of positive reinforcement as there are to any other discipline; however, they are the easiest to avoid. Even if they are to be encountered, they can be fixed and the severity of them is particularly minimal. On the other hand, there are numerous strengths to positive reinforcement. One of them is that the children who are rewarded by good behavior develop a healthy self-esteem. Along with that, there are less issues with behavior when children have a motivating factor. Last but not least, children with positively enforced discipline tend to be happier than others, as young children and as they grow older. In the end, although it has a couple of weaknesses, the strengths of positive reinforcement undoubtedly overpower them. In the same fashion, positive reinforcement works for everyone, it just has to be tweaked to fit you and your child. To conclude, positive reinforcement can be an easier and more effective manner to discipline your child.

Overall, it should be avoided that discipline be corresponded with punishment and judgement, as that is the first step in finding the best way to discipline your child. Also, all solutions have a lot of good qualities; however, when comparing all of them, positive reinforcement has the most to offer. With that being said, the use of positive reinforcement undoubtedly the best way to discipline your child.

The Importance Of Children Discipline For Parents

As a parent, it’s their job to educate and support their child all throughout their childhood and teenage years. A baby isn’t born given a handbook figuring out what’s right from wrong, it’s the parent’s job to teach them. As a baby begins to grow, so are their cognitive skills and intellectual thoughts. At a young age, kids will start to detect information quickly, however they might not know what they’re saying or doing. In addition, an important parental aspect of raising children is discipline. Disciplining children isn’t corporal punishment, but rather showing logical consequences. In reality, a parent’s job is one of the hardest task to accomplish, they’re in charge of their children’s understanding of what’s going on around them.

Almost everyday in social media or on the news, we hear about problems mainly caused by undisciplined children. Sometimes this could be a report of a school shooting or a threat that can cause severe damage to a community. However, the children’s actions isn’t their fought, because they’re weren’t taught the difference between what’s right from wrong starting at a young age. Sometimes these actions are in the hands of the parent’s and they’re the ones to get blamed for the way their children turns out and acts in the real-world society. The mind of an undisciplined child has a different perspective compared to a disciplined child, because mainly they feel that certain circumstances don’t affect the people around them and in general they discern no difference in moral sense. For example, a school shooter sometimes has a mind that has zero tolerance towards specific things, leading to a reaction in their body to get triggered.

As a baby grows into their toddler two’s also known as the terrible twos, their development skills have progress from what they learn on the daily. At this point of life it’s normal for a kid to struggle between what’s right from wrong. Terrible twos is when a kid begins throwing tantrums and have conflicting behavior. Also, their favorite word is NO. At this age parents should teach their kid how to listen and stop doing the same mistakes. If doing this at a young age, they’ll grow into a well mannered person. In addition, a two year old kid will also begin to draw on the wall with their crayons, breaking things, running around the house, and making a mess with their toys or food. It may be hard for some parents to start disciplining their child, because it may seem that they’re too young, however it will start to become a second nature habit for the kids because they’ll know what not to do. As young as possible disciplining a child will result into a stable, respectful, and having a good moral character.

When I was just a child, mainly my elementary years, I wasn’t a horrible kid but I wasn’t great either. For example, when my report card comes in the mail, my mom would be the first person to look at my grades. I knew that my grades wouldn’t please my mom, but at a young age I didn’t care. However, my mom took it in her hands to teach me a valuable lesson. My report card would contain mostly C’s and D’s but never A’s. The reason to this was that I used to consume most of my time only watch T.V. and playing video games on my xbox. My punishment wasn’t getting whooped with a belt, but rather getting disciplined by my mom by her disconnecting the internet, grounding me, and taking away my T.V. and xbox. My mom took away all my privileges, so that I can be taught a lesson so that she can prove her point. My mom’s point of view is to teach me a valid lecture to not spend too much time on my electronics, but spend more time on my homework. However, my point of view was the opposite because I felt like it was the end of the world for me. I was grounded until my mom saw A’s and B’s on my second report card. Many years later, as I mature into my teenage years, I now understand my mom’s point of view on why she would discipline me. My mom taught me how to make good decisions, know limitations, and the difference between moral sense. Now I am a brilliant high school student that spends more time on my homework and barely any time on my phone and social media. I appreciate that my mom disciplined me at a young age, because I turned out to be well mannered, but if my mom hadn’t disciplined me I would’ve been an isolated kid that would’ve had behavioral problems.

Overall, there are many solutions on how to discipline a child. Disciplining shouldn’t be corporal punishment but rather teaching a valid lesson. Parents should set boundaries and rules for their kids so that they can understand moral sense of what’s going on around them. A parent’s job is a complex responsibility. A way a parent raises their children will lead to how the child turns out in the near future.

Self-discipline Aspects And Evaluation

In this assignment we are going to be looking at self-discipline which is being able to control yourself and your feelings. We are going to record our self-discipline through a report over 2 weeks. It will consist of 7 different areas; presentation and personal grooming, punctuality, reliability, composure, attitude, performance, personality. All of these 7 areas are essential as they contribute to you being able to control yourself in the correct manner.

We were looking at our presentation/appearance meaning we had to be well groomed and presentable. Punctuality is being on time for instance; a staff briefing. Reliability is being trustworthy for instance; between the public and an officer. Composure is having the ability to control your feelings in extreme scenarios, like if you were responding to a fire. Attitude is having the correct mind in terms of wanting to succeed. Performance is being able to work to the best of your ability and not the bare minimum. Finally personality is important as you will need to be approachable and understanding especially if you’re an officer in public.

A positive of my report is that is achieved fours for my appearance in all my lessons, this shows that I take myself seriously in terms of grooming and making sure I follow the dress code. This is important in the public services especially as you have to follow certain rules regarding the uniform. When you work for the police you have to make sure you stay professional and represent the police well by maintaining a positive image. I have done this at school by wearing the correct uniform and making sure i stay smart and represent the school in a positive manner.

Another positive of my report is that I was punctual and attended all of my lessons. This shows that I actually wanted to go to school and this is important in the public services because if you are constantly late then you can end up being fired. It will also show if you are interested in the actual job and not that you are being forced to go in on time. If you are always late then there is a chance that you will miss out on key information for instance; in the police force there can be staff briefings early on in the morning and if you’re late then you could lose some vital information on the day ahead. In the police force bad punctuality can leave other people in danger or vulnerable. Some services may not even hire you in the first place if they know how bad your attendance and punctuality is because employees of the service are automatically role models for the public, so they have to make sure to represent their service well.

On the other hand, one thing which I can improve is my performance in lessons. This can be done by avoiding distractions to stop me from losing focus on the task and will allow me to get work done quicker, such as; my phone and speaking to classmates. I could have aimed

to get more work completed and not just the minimum. Keeping good performance levels are extremely important in the public services. You have to make sure you are working to the best of your ability and providing the best possible service for the public as they are the ones relying on them.

I could have also improved my organisation when getting work completed and meeting my deadlines. Instead of doing multiple different tasks at once I should have focused on one which would have allowed me to work faster and less likely to make any mistakes due to the less stress. Completing the work which was the most important would have improved the quality of my work and focusing on one task at a time would help me by making sure I meet all of my deadlines. Having good organisation in the public services can be beneficial for you as well as others because you can work efficiently with other services. Employees of the services need good organisation especially when working with other services because there are lives on the line and they need to reduce the chance of the disaster escalating by communicating effectively and having a plan ahead.

In conclusion I have learned that there are various aspects of my self-discipline that I can improve from the results of this report. I learned that I could improve my performance during lessons by avoiding distractions and staying focused in class. I could also improve my organisation by improving my organisation by prioritizing work which needs to be done. Some of the positives from my report was that I attended all my lessons and was punctual, I also made sure I was dressed in the correct uniform was presentable. I learnt from the mistakes that I made and I will improve on these aspects in the future

The Peculiarities Of Organisational Behavior

Introduction Summary

Personality deals with the behavioral aspects of a person and for an organization, the attitude of employees is a key aspect in determining how the said employee will work in the current working environment of the company. Perception on the other hand is how a person perceives the reality. So, organization in itself like an organism with various quirks, hence how an employee actually feels about his or her work is really vital for supervisors to make them do anything, while simultaneously motivating them. Both Personality and perception come together to form an individual’s attitude. Attitude in turn opens a whole new world for the top management and supervisors to enhance the performance of the organization. In the next few paragraphs, we will be discussing personality and perception extensively, along with how they have a nexus to the organizational behavior.

Personality

The word “Personality” comes from the Greek word “Persona” which means “to speak through”. Personality comprises of characteristics and qualities that makes up for the individual’s unique identity. According to the personality theorist Salvatore Maddi personality is defined as “Personality is a stable set of characteristics and tendencies that determine those commonalities and differences in the psychological behavior (thoughts, feelings and actions) of people that have continuity in time and that may not be easily understood as the sole result of the social and biological pressures of the moment.” (Maddi, n.d.) This particular definition of personality revolves around 3 major aspects:

Firstly, it doesn’t limit the impact of personality on certain behaviors, situations or people. Instead, it is an attempt to all behaviors all the time.

Secondly, the words “commonalities and differences” advises about a vital aspect of humans, that every human is like:

  • All Other People.
  • Some Other People.
  • No Other Person.

Lastly, Salvatore’s definition of personality has elements of stability and continuity, meaning that the personality develops over a certain extent throughout the life, with any major changes taking place in the childhood.

Determinants of Personality

Biological: It is further divided into 3 aspects:

  • (a) Heredity: It is concerned with the aspects that are mainly transmitted through the genes contributed by parents, it mainly constitutes physical and psychological attributes. It is usually used to determine a parson’s temperament than values and ideals.
  • (b) Brain: Although there’s no empirical evidence that brain has any impact on the personality, still initial testing through Electrical Stimulation of Brain (ESB) indicates otherwise, suggesting the understanding of personality might come via study of brain.
  • (c) Physical Features: A person’s physical appearance has a major impact on one’s personality, it determines how a person is approached in a society and other’s reaction to him. Hence, such things influence a person’s personality.

Cultural: It is one of the major determinants of a person’s personality. Culture establishes what a person is and what a person will learn. To some extent, personality is the by product of the cultural surroundings of an individual.

Familial: Impact of Familial determinant is further divided into 2 processes, socialization and identification process. Wherein Socialization covers the contributions of the family and society, on the other hand identification process initiates when an individual starts to relate himself/herself to another family member. For Instance, a child will mostly try to copy his/her parent’s behavior

Situation: Personality also depends on the environment an individual faces in the day to day life, there’s enough empirical evidence that suggests that, how an individual reacts to any particular situation is critical to a person’s personality.

As Per Author Sharon Penn – Grazadio Business Review: Personality Traits and Workplace Culture. (Penn, 2017)

Impact of Personality on Organizational Behavior:

In an organization, there is an accumulation of personalities, which results in the mix of personalities through somewhat identical “patterns of behaviors”. Every person in the organization need to comply with the structure and framework, while reacting accordingly. Therefore, a good match between an individual personality and organization is a must. (Disha, n.d.) It can also be seen in all major corporations from Coca Cola to Apple, even some Mafia fractions have one thing in common – people with different personalities coming together to work for the organization’s objective. Perception

According to Mullins 2010, “Perception is the dynamic complex way in which individuals select information (stimuli) from environment, interpret and translate it so that a meaning is assigned which will result in a pattern of behavior or thought”. (Mullins, 2010)

From an organizational point of view, perception helps an individual to form an understanding about others as it’s a major aspect in an organization to motivate people. This helps the organization to allocate employees to the best possible position through how a person perceive others and how a person is perceived by others.

Process of Perception

Impact of Perception on Organizational Behavior: It is crucial in establishing the role of perception, such as:

  • Grasping tasks to be performed.
  • Interpreting the vitalness of the tasks allotted.
  • Understanding preferred behavior to complete respective tasks.
  • Comprehending role perception. (Gleeson, 2019)

For instance, in any smooth functioning association every person has a concise role allotted to them.Fundamental Attribution Error: It is referred to as the propensity by which one is able to understand, why they did something, based on their personality, at the same time overlooking any other factors.

This theory proposes that external factors such as social aspect and contextual impacts can’t be overseen while an assessment is made on why something is being done by someone. (Ross, 1977) Gestalt Principle: Gestalt is a German word for ‘Unified Whole’. Gestalt is a school of psychology was developed to hypothesis theories explaining how people just through visual inputs, divide each other in different segments. Some of the segments are as follows:

  • Figure and Ground.
  • Reification.
  • Continuation.

Nature of Perception:

  • Perception is an intellectual procedure.
  • Perception is the basic cognitive or psychological procedure.
  • Perception comes out as a subjective process and different people comprehend distinct event differently. (PERCEPTION, n.d.)

Nexus Between Perception and Organizational Behavior:

  • (a) It is a way of collecting, choosing, organizing, clarifying, vouching and behaving to receptive stimuli and data.
  • (b) This process helps to give meaning to the environment perceived through the data or receptive stimuli.
  • (c) It also includes the methods by which a perceiver receives the data from the surroundings – “seeing, hearing, feeling, testing and smelling”.

Factors Influencing Perception:

Factors in the Perceiver:

  • Attitudes
  • Motives
  • Interests
  • Experience
  • Expectation

Factors in the Situation:

  • Time
  • Work Setting
  • Social Setting

Perception

Factors in the Target:

  • Novelty
  • Motion
  • Sound
  • Size
  • Background
  • Proximity

How Perception works in an Organization: In an academic study conducted on perception, Marjorie Scardino, 1st CEO in U.K., took charge of Pearson PLC in 1977. Although she was not even from British origin, rather she was a rodeo loving (a former contestant) and a true Texan. The gender, nationality and a low interest hobby – rodeo conflict with the perceived idea of a CEO in a big U.K. based company. So, in order to tackle this issue Scardino sent out a notification to all the 17,000 employees of the company making it clear that she rose to the position with all fairness, also putting out her goals of doubling the company’s market capitalization and that “there will be more changes to come.”

This was done as even Scardino realized, that she doesn’t really fit with the perception of a CEO. In this example, Pearson PLC aim was to get women in a male dominant segment as it is generalized that women don’t make good CEOs and the way Scardino handled the situation was calm and accurate.

Co-relation of Personality and Perception

An individual’s personality has a major role on how that individual perceives others and the his/her surrounding environment, which in further forms our attitude towards any object, action, issues, ideas, events, people and places. A mix of an individual’s personality and how one perceives everything, forms one’s predispositions towards the same.

With the connection to organizational behavior, personality and perception play a major role in showing the management how satisfied an employee is with his position, team, department and work environment. In any organization, the behavior of any member depends on three elements namely: personality, perception and attitude.

By identifying these three elements, the top management of a corporation can influence the employees to get more productivity and efficiency by generating more job satisfaction.

As for the Pearson PLC in 1977, when the appointed Marjorie Scardino as the CEO, they were faced with the issue of perception as she was a rodeo loving Texan, handling a U.K. based company. This issue of perception was tackled by the strong willed personality and the merit of Scardino, as she sent a notice to all 17,000 members of the company, making her intentions clear about the future of the company and changing the perception of the members towards her status and position in the company.

From the above example we can sense that personality and perception can be influenced with the proper intentions and a positive behavior to get optimum job satisfaction levels for the employees of the organization.

Tasks For Managers and Top Management: The Top management and the managers need to identify the personalities of the subordinates and also how each and every subordinate perceive everything around them, in order to set up control measures, so as to maintain a calm and smooth working environment in the company. By doing so, they open up the door to even more opportunities for the benefit of the company. In a centralized company, the Supervisors can arrange the teams as per the similarities in the personality and select a person who is perceived positively as the team leader to get the best results. Similarly, in a decentralized company, the top management can develop a selection and allocation procedure for the hiring department to get employees that have an all rounder personality and a good perception of the market and customers to boost their sales and market share at the same time.

From the above discussion, it is quite evident that how top management and mangers or supervisors manipulate the performance of subordinates or employees in an organization to get better results.

Conclusion

In conclusion personality tells us about how a person is and what makes them, on the other hand perception deals with how an individual looks at the world and its different aspects. In respect to organizational behavior, personality and perception is used extensively to manipulate the employees or subordinates by the top management or supervisors to achieve the organizational objective by making such a framework that makes the said subordinates get into a work environment that suits them or gives them a sense of job satisfaction. Personality and Perception both come together to form a person’s attitude towards all the surrounding elements of the said individual, which in turn tells us, whether the individual is satisfied at his or her position or with his or her work giving the supervisor an idea on how to deal with organizational behavioral issues.

How Discipline Equals Freedom

What is discipline?

Discipline is a word that is connected to the behavior and comes from the Latin language. It comes from “disciple” which means student or pupil. It gives a sense of instructions and training. Discipline refers to a system of rules and regulations. “Discipline means to get knowledge, learn new things of ethics, get training, a process of learning of development, and apply all on the system of standards”.

Self-discipline is a chain of improving oneself, developing the habit of thinking, action, and getting an approach to institutional and academic goals. Without self-discipline, you remain the slave of your fear. When we learn to push out the inner fear we feel that these limits, fear were an only illusion. When a person chooses to become, who he wants to be. He overcomes his inner fear by nature or nurture. Self-discipline learns us too afraid or fail.

What is freedom?

Freedom is a broad term. It is difficult to explain in the short forms. Freedom is the power to think, speak, and act as one wants without restriction and difficulty. It is not the thing that comes from the outside. It is our basic nature. If someone wants to fulfill his desires, he must have the authority to decide what is good or bad for him.

Discipline equals freedom

Discipline equals freedom covers every aspect of life. If we want to get freedom in our social, practical, or professional life, we should practice discipline at every step. Freedom is a thing that everyone wants to practice in her life without any restriction and hindrance. But we cannot forget discipline and freedom cannot be achieved without it.

Freedom and discipline are correlated. It has been observed that in the quest for freedom, people shun discipline. They forget that both are strong and interdependent. They think that discipline is a hurdle in the way of freedom. They consider it a negative element in the way of freedom in this way their lives and others too. Having discipline is a way to handle the situation positively. It enriches the life of every day even in the hardest situation.

Discipline equals freedom divided into three categories; thought, workout, and actions. We need to get discipline in our thoughts and thinking before we get discipline in performing any action. The next part is an exercise which means do something physically. It gives us the direction for the whole day. We need to do exercise daily which could be an important part of our daily morning routine. It does not mean that it is an essential part of weight lifting or pumping blood. It could be a run and a walk.

One of the best things in mental disciplines is that setting a list of goals and tasks and accomplishing them. Before going to bed at night, make a list of other daily tasks and then actually execute on it. It will make life much easier.

If you want to get discipline and freedom in your personal life you have to get up early from the bed and set tone and ornamentation for the whole day. You must have to set some rules and regulations to follow. Discipline and freedom are related to the concept of liberty. If someone wants to get freedom and liberty in his financial career, he must have to have financial discipline.

Conquer your weaknesses

Weakness is a negative element and we all have the propensity to avoid it. It is a big hindrance in the way of freedom. We should not run off them instead we have to do struggle to overcome the fear of weakness. If you are afraid of speaking in a group, do speak voluntarily. Instead of avoiding it, we should attack it. If you are scared to send an email to the boss, send it. It will feel uncomfortable for the first time but over time this will become your strength.

Basically every positive thing in life happens through discipline. It is necessary to transform your life in a positive way and this transformation will not come automatically. You need to put an effort to get this. Set your goals for the days, weeks, months, and years and try to stay on that path. This positive path will lead to a positive transformation in life.

Origin of discipline and freedom

Freedom and discipline are actually connected with each other. Discipline is an internal force that comes from within. It is not the thing that can be imposed on you by anyone else. People want to get freedom in a shortcut way or they hack it. If they think that they can get the discipline and freedom in this way, they are at the wrong point. It will not energize them. They cannot become stronger, healthier, and active in getting freedom as well as freedom. This is not an easy road.

If you want to reach out to your goals, to become the obstacle of the vision, and want to become independent, you must have to put your struggle to get it. Discipline and freedom will not come by itself. It will come by continuous struggle, late nights, early mornings, rehearsal, repetition, study, and frustration.

Discipline is the root of all good and best qualities. It helps us to develop our habits positively. It destroys the negative executions which are the hindrance in the way of progress.

To overcome your enemy, learn to defeat the weaknesses. You have to learn hard, work hard, and train hard. Learn the habit to face the inner demons and destroy them. Because of the inner fear discipline and freedom cannot go side by side. Learn to maintain the self-discipline which is necessary to continue the freedom. Be patient, tolerant, and keep working hard to achieve your goals.

In order to defeat the setbacks, failures, fears, and enemies there is only the word ”good” that will help you to move on to get discipline and freedom. It helps us to deal with disasters. Learn to face hard truths and frustration. Try to live every day with passion and purpose. No need to cry or mourn upon the things which are against you. Develop the habit to deal with the setbacks and fear of failure.

Discipline Essay 9 (1100 words)

Success can only be achieved with self-discipline. Self-Discipline is the ability in one’s self that helps motivate themselves and controls one’s feelings. Every individual struggles with developing this quality because they are incapable of defining their weaknesses and avoiding temptations. The book, The First Stone, written by Don Aker, signifies many situations where self-discipline is frail in a specific character and when it is developed or expressed by another. The reef is an insolent boy that lacks respect for others because of a hard past which causes him to resort to violence first. There is no one to advise him about the importance of control over his emotions. Scar, an independent girl, learns and achieves a strong sense of self-discipline, without the support of any parent or guardian, but through independence. The book demonstrates that self-discipline can help establish success with assistance from another individual, independence, and is also an essential aspect of decision-making, achieving goals, and proper communication.

The reef is an individual that finds gratification from his wants, and in the end, it hurts not only himself but others. “Self-Discipline” is a word that Reef is oblivious to and is proven when Colville created a list of rules that states, “ You must respect yourself, respect others, be accountable, honor your commitments, and do the right thing,” and as Reef’s instant response, it was “ Pretty vague, ain’t they.” This quote displays that Reef does not understand the essence of self-discipline and what it really defines. Colville tells Reef many lessons such as “ Nor do you need need to put drugs or alcohol into their bodies to keep from feeling the things they can’t face.”(pg.107)” The other part of being accountable is paying for your mistakes.”(pg.125) and Colville was there for every emotional breakdown he had especially when he lost a good friend. These quotes were said by Colville because he wants to help Reef throughout his journey and build his true character. As more time passes in the book, Reef develops discipline and Colville plays a huge role in his development. Every time Reef has one of the emotional problems, Colville always tends to come and have a talk with him on page 283 Colville picks him up and talks about his concerns. Through the help of someone, Reef was able to find potential in himself and improve the self-discipline in his character. The interest of someone to help another is very rare, but when the occasion occurs, self-discipline can be dramatically increased or developed through that person.

Goals are created and achieved from self-discipline. Scar, an independent girl, finds discipline from the very start of the book. “Scar was a loner who would never try out for any team, but extracurricular activity had its advantages,”(pg. 48) “ And she’d surprised everyone when she placed first in a school and third in the province.”(pg.48) This quote was directed to Scar explaining how she likes to stay independent and achieves her goals without others’ help but through independent extracurricular activities. In the story, she faces many moments where she gets called short-tempered because of her red hair, but the only reason she gets mad is when others are hurt or when she feels something is wrong.”Like Scar, who had always been smarter than any of them and had proven it in January when she’d completed her grade 12 in the first semester.” Scar’s result, she has made it very far throughout the book and made it to university without a parent or guardian. The reason being is because of her strong sense of discipline that none of them had at the beginning of the story, and while others spend their time playing or causing problems such as Reef at the beginning of the book, she strives to reach her goals and as a result, she makes it to a university and has a scholarship. Throughout the entire book, Scar was able to seek the discipline she wanted from the very start, which gave her a large advantage on her road to success. Independence can get you a long way, especially in the choices you make and the goals you desire to achieve.

Communication is the ability to interact with others, and self-discipline helps you communicate in a precise matter. Reef’s first approach to a young man named Colville showed that Reef still has a long way to go in his discipline in communication. As Reef’s first task from Colville, he was assigned to fix a greenhouse, and right after his request, Reef responded with “Fuck you.” (pg.125) This quote shows Reef’s aggressiveness towards new people he meets and his lack of discipline when communicating with others. Colville supports Reef throughout the entire book, advising him of what proper decision-making is and what he is capable of as a young individual. As a result of his learning, Reef is given another chance in the book when meeting a young girl named Leeza. With Reef’s first encounter with Leeza, a nurse named Carly asked Reef to exit the room while she was put in her wheelchair. Reef replied with “No problem” without any aggressive tone and seemed to have learned much from Colville. It was stated in the book that it took longer than a minute so Reef has also grown the aspect of patience as well. These two quotes are two examples of Reef’s response at the beginning of the book and the end when he was asked to do a task. The major difference between these quotes was his tone and attitude toward his response. The first quote shows aggressiveness and the second quote shows kindness and acceptance. With these quotes in comparison, it indicates Reef’s change throughout the book, especially his change in the way he communicates with others. As Reef’s self-discipline grows throughout the story, a major impact in the way he properly communicates with others changes greatly as the book progresses.

Aspects such as decision-making, achieving goals, and proper communication learned from independence and assistance from another individual build up a skill called self-discipline. At every point in life, decisions are being made, goals are being set and with each of these points, self-discipline is needed. The skill of self-discipline is essential because, without it, it can hurt you and others around you and success cannot be achieved. In this story, Reef would not have become a better person if self-discipline did not exist nor he would have become a better person with the help of others. Scar achieved her goals with self-discipline, making it to university in such a short period of time. Whether self-discipline is grown through independence or support, it will always benefit you in the future reference.

All things considered, however, it is a massive assignment to get your tyke to carry on right, a smidgen of adoration and comprehension can work much superior to whippings. Truly, child rearing isn’t simple yet positive child rearing isn’t discretionary as well. It is a need in the present current and now and then negative world.
