250-500 words, write out a brief description of a scenario in which someone is having trouble understanding the role of context, emotion, or listening in a relationship. It doesn’t have to be a conflict, just a situation that could benefit from your advice based upon what you have learned in class. Your inspiration for the situation could come from your own life or from a situation about which you were told by a friend, co-worker, family member, or even acquaintance.
Incorporate what you have learned about the role of context (background, personality, worldview, culture), emotion, and listening in relationships.
Include a clear introduction, summarizing the key ideas that you will address in your vlog post.
Include a clear set of recommendations about the expression of emotions and active listening, both in how to think about the issue as well as what to do/how to behave.
Include a clear conclusion with a clear summary of key ideas and call to action.
Include a minimum of two sources to support the advice you give.

is an ‘evaluation report’?
1. Your task is to evaluate a participation or engagement strategy. For example, user participation in health services, youth participation, strategies about getting more women, disabled or people of colour into positions of power, participation in international development, UK participation policy e.g. Big Society
2. You should include examples/ projects of these strategies. E.g. ‘National Citizen’s Service and Youth Participation’
3. You may use your own examples but this must be clearly stated and referenced if available
What does ‘evaluation’ mean?
1. Critically analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the strategy in question
2. Analyse the strategy in relation to the available literature on the topic (what we’ve introduced/covered in class/course reading list)
3. Come to a judgement of the success or otherwise of the strategy
Content and structure
This report should be written in an essay format
A basic structure for an evaluation should include the following:
a) Introduction – identifying the topic and the strategy.
Introducing some key debates about the topic in the literature
b) Introduce the strategy- what was it, when was it delivered, who was it aimed at, what were its overall objectives
c) Analyse the strategy- what were its strengths and weaknesses, did it succeed? Here you should aim to refer back to the participation literature when forming your judgements
d) Conclusion- summarising main points and suggesting

Write 500-1000 word essay
Interview someone who you feel is an ethical and moral hero to you.
Ask some probing questions about how they live their lives.
Remember to ask open-ended questions to allow that person to respond, not just yes or no questions (e.g., Don’t simply ask, “are you a role model?” which can be answered with a brief “yes” or “no.” Instead ask, “Tell me what you tell your children or grandchildren about how to resolve an ethical dilemma they are facing.” Or,  “Tell me about a time you faced an ethical dilemma and how you resolved it.).
Please be ready to discuss your experience on the Discussion Board next week.
Interviewing — here is a video I did on interview questions for COM 344 News Writing. Of course, YouTube has many good videos on how to interview if you need a refresher.

Literature
Review:
To understand the historical and current context of water quality issues in Indigenous communities, I need to conduct a thorough review of existing literature, including government reports, academic studies, and assessments of non-profit organizations. I want to determine whether the Canadian Government is doing enough to ensure all Indigenous communities have access to clean, safe drinking water. I want to dig into whether the money that the government currently provides is going into improving water quality in these communities or if it is used for other projects. If this information is not available, then this gap in the research needs to be identified in the literature review, and ideas on how to fill this gap need to be identified. Cited references should be from peer-reviewed papers or government websites like Stats Canada. I have attached a list of website links that I have found beneficial in preparing to write this paper. I also attached the talking points from the video I created to present my idea for approval. If I think of anything else, I will share it.

Assignment Requirements:
● 3-5 pages, double spaced (not including bibliography/references)
● MLA style
● Times New Roman, 12 point
● At least 5 credible research sources and a citation/reference to class textbook ○ 1 MUST be a scholarly source i.e., Peer-reviewed
● You must refer to at least one of the seven cultural dimensions listed in Hostede’s Insights website: https://www.hofstede- insights.com/country-comparison-tool
Select two international countries to compare and contrast. ● One of the cultures can be the United States, though it is not required
Conduct preliminary research. You can use the question prompts below to guide your research.
1. The research should include information about cultural expectations in these countries when it comes to nonverbal communication, verbal communication, self-presentation (i.e., modesty, form of dress, etc.), gender norms, emotions, other social norms that guide interpersonal behaviors (i.e., it’s okay to burp in public without saying “excuse me”).
2. The research should also include the norms for relationships – we will have only started to cover romantic and family relationships, but you are also welcome to include friend and work relationships.
● Friend and romantic relationships – gender expectations, cross-cultural, cross-gender relationships – what is expected, accepted, etc. Freedom in relationships, Marriage customs, purpose of marriage, divorce acceptable? etc..
● Work relationships – Think about this from the perspective of a person from the U.S. traveling to another country for work. What would they have to know to succeed in a business setting? Behaviors (handshake, bow, eye contact, etc.), rules of conversation, money exchange, self-presentation, etc.
● Family relationships – family size, roles, M/F differences, family and parenting types (democratic, laissez-faire, etc.), children (number, gender, expected behaviors, etc.) communal or individualistic dimensions of culture, power distance within the family.
Pick 2-4 questions to answer for your research paper.
1. What are some of the value differences and/or similarities between these cultures?
2. What are the predominant religious beliefs espoused by members of these cultures, and how do you think these beliefs influence their behaviors?
3. What are some nonverbal communication differences and/or similarities found in these cultures?
4. What are some of the communication style differences and/or similarities found in these cultures?
5. What are some of the language or dialectical differences and/or similarities found in these cultures?
6. How are the various social or gender roles viewed in these cultures?
7. Do the family structure and roles differ in these cultures? If yes, in what ways? How does this impact communication?
8. For someone going to these cultures for a study abroad or a work assignment, what information would aid her/his cultural adjustment?
9. What are some of the stereotypes people of your culture have about people in the culture/cultures you have studied? What are the bases for these stereotypes?
10. Does the education system in these cultures differ? If yes, in what ways? How does this impact communication?
Write your research paper
● You want to pick 2-4 questions that you have researched and can find enough information so you can compare and contrast for both countries.
● This is only a 3-5 page research paper, so it is not expected that you will cover everything about both cultures.
● This is NOT a paper to weigh the countries/cultures against each other and choose the “better” country/culture. This is simply to examine the communication expectations about each country/culture and how they differ or are similar.

There are three links attachted, three answers that are AI generated. Your task

There are three links attachted, three answers that are AI generated. Your task is to “grade”/critique each answer that AI generated and improve upon it. I want you to critique each response and say what you dislike about each answer or how the answer is insufficient in some way. You will also need to say how you would improve each answer. Since AI usually does not answer with any specificity, one of your tasks is to say what you would add to each answer to make it better. Please don’t use fancy words or anything like that, just simple.

(DIALOGUE ANALYSIS PAPER)Topic:
Communication Patterns and Techniques in Long-Di

(DIALOGUE ANALYSIS PAPER)Topic:
Communication Patterns and Techniques in Long-Distance Relationships
Requirements: 6-10
pages, should be well-written and insightful.
The essay should be prepared in the following format using
the headings provided below to identify each part.
Part 1:  The Dialogue
This part is a detailed
description of an interaction typical of a current or recent relationship. Include
observable behavior–what you did and said.
If possible, audio or video record this interaction and include that
transcript.  The experience should be meaningful
and significant to you.
Part 2:  Informal
Analysis
Analyze the key pieces/lines of
the interaction, by (a) labelling the actions each party is doing, (b)
interpreting the content of the messages/actions, and (c) most importantly,
getting at the relationship level of the messages/actions.  Might there have been multiple
interpretations for some of these key lines?
If so, describe these various interpretations and how they may have
affected the interaction.
Part 3:  Formal
Analysis
Part 3 is an enrichment or
extension of your analysis by using the textbook.  YOU MUST INTEGRATE AT LEAST 1 THEORY AND AT
LEAST 2 SUPPORTING CONCEPTS FROM THE BOOK TO ANALYZE YOUR INTERACTION. You may
use relevant quotations and/or you may summarize (cite page numbers
regardless).  Use these ideas to explain
and/or describe your behavior and/or your relationship.  How do these concepts and theories support
your analysis of this interaction?  Part
3 should make it very clear that you can integrate interpersonal theory
with specific interpersonal communication behavior.  Of the entire essay, this part is the most
critical.
Part 4:
Implications
This is the payoff for you!  What are the implications for your
future behavior and this and other future relationships?  What changes appear to be appropriate?  How will you implement those changes?  What specific acts will you perform (similarly
and differently) in your communication?
Part 4 should include an
agenda.  An agenda is a list of specific
acts that you will perform as part of your program to change your own interpersonal
communication.  The acts you include can be
small experiments.  What are you going to
do that is new or different?  If you
don’t end up with an agenda for future action, perhaps go back to Part 1 and
select a new experience.
Use 8 Scholarly Sources as well to support.
