you have been tasked with figuring out why a few of the workplace teams are unable to work together. In your observations, you note that one of the project teams was formed with individuals from various generations and cultures. There is a very low level of satisfaction in the group, and tasks rarely get accomplished. You will present a PowerPoint presentation to the group to help them understand the generational and cultural differences and how to work past these differences to create a cohesive group. Your PowerPoint presentation should follow this format:
Slide 1: Introductory slide (include name, class, instructor name, term, and presentation title)
Slides 2–5: Describe four generations (seniors/silent generation, baby boomers, Gen X, Gen Y). List the challenges of each generation and how your employees can gain knowledge from working with each.
Slide 6: Define professional diversity and give examples.
Slide 7: Explain two communication skills for managing diversity and relational trust.
Slides 8–9: Describe two cultural differences that might make communication difficult within a work group. List a strategy for each difference that can positively affect communication.
Slide 10: Three scholarly references listed in APA format.
Speaker’s notes should be used to elaborate your responses on each slide. Each speaker note should include at least one in-text citation for support

Consider an intercultural conflict you have experienced (please make the experience up).  The conflict could be interpersonal, intergroup OR international/global (see the textbook for an example of each context). Write a 2-page paper analyzing the conflict using the 3 frames (micro, meso, AND macro) (see the textbook for examples of analysis using all three frames). Steps to do this:
Use  Chapter 9 of Sorrells, K. (2022). Intercultural communication: Globalization and Social Justice (3rd ed.). Thousand
Oaks, CA: SAGE.
Write a brief description (1-2 paragraphs) of the conflict.
Analyze the conflict based on the ideas and concepts in chapter 9 of Sorrells. Specifically, identify the micro, meso and macro-level dimensions/frames of the conflict.
Answer based on your understanding of intercultural communication, what suggestions can you offer to resolve the conflict? When thinking about solutions be sure to refer to the solutions offered in the text; however you are also welcome to offer an alternative solution and state why it’s better (more appropriate) to solve this particular conflict.

Quick tips
Use ONE notecard with words, not sentences. This will give you more scope for audience engagement and eye contact/looking in the camera.
While practicing, record your speech to keep track of time, delivery, body language and overall organization.
Check your grammar. Your outline should have full sentences.
Be careful with words. We do NOT want to hurt or offend anyone in the classroom.
Practice! Practice! Practice!

General guidelines.
1. The purpose of the paper is to assess how students can apply a portion of the
course material to a case of their choosing. I am fairly open as to the case as long
as it involves organizational change. Here are some broad examples of cases that
have been used.
a. Attempts to increase employee productivity.
b. Changes in organizational policies or procedures.
c. Selling a product or service to an organization.
d. Altering the mission of an organization or unit.
e. Attempts by community stakeholder groups to convince an organization to
provide better services.
f. Dealing with problematic colleagues, employees or supervisors.
g. Increasing one’s salary and/or improving job requirements.
h. Adoption of a new technology or work practice.
i. Changing decision-making processes.
j. Requesting greater resources for one’s unit or division.
k. Attempts to merge units or companies.
l. Changing the physical work environment or location.
m. Some students with little experience with organizational change have written
about cases in their personal life (e.g., family).
2. You may choose a case in which you participated or one that you observed or
heard about.
3. You may choose a case in which the change was attempted and failed or one that
had not been attempted but you think should be. Do NOT choose a case that was
successful.
4. When writing the paper, you should ONLY use material contained in the course
modules. Do NOT make up your own theory and do NOT use theories from other
sources (e.g., other classes or the Internet).
5. Use only one to three perspectives to analyze the case. Do NOT try to mention
ideas in every module or everything within a module. There is too much. The
best papers use only a few perspectives and describe in detail how they apply to
the case. Papers that incorporate too many ideas are too superficial.
6. I want to protect anonymity for those involved in the case. Do NOT use actual
names and/or the name of the organization. Use pseudonyms rather than
identifiers. Also, if you are writing about the organization in which you are
currently working, you should send me the paper from an email address that is
NOT connected to your organization. At the end of the term, I will delete all
papers from my computer.
7. Position papers should be single spaced and no more than 10 pages.
use the content of the files attached and the outline format.

Role Play Context: Do a job search and f

Be sure to follow the directions below:
Role Play Context: Do a job search and find a company and job/role that you would like to pursue after graduation. Use this information as the basis for your “role play” in this paper.
a. Include a title on your paper that says: [insert your full name]’s Interview for the Role of [insert the job title you are interested in] at [insert the company you are interested in]
Role Play Scenario: Write your paper from the perspective that you are in a job interview (i.e., for the job/company you named in your title) and the hiring manager says:
“Tell me about how you will contribute to the needs of this team for someone who knows about and can evaluate cutting edge AI tools, who can strategically resolve conflict, and who can advise the team on socially-conscious communication.”
You may write in a conversational tone – as though you are sitting across the table from the interviewer. Assume they are well-versed in the company and the job opening. Be sure you clearly and concisely answer the question they posed above.
Be sure to use APA citation where appropriate, connecting your statements to the pre-readings and the live seminars.
Include a final paragraph or two where you summarize and tie the discussion together across weeks 1, 2, and 3 in a persuasive tone to “sell” yourself as the right person for this job.
Include a link to the job posting at the bottom of your last page.
Be sure related to communication field.
