Read the case study on page 145 of O’Hair et al. about Greg and his vegan diet.

Read the case study on page 145 of O’Hair et al. about Greg and his vegan diet. As you read the case study, try to see the situation through the eyes of your character, Amanda, and Greg. Think about which character you might identify most with, and which characters you feel are behaving correctly or incorrectly. Each character has a different perspective, and these points of view are in conflict. Consider this case study in light of the information about culture in Chapter 5, and then think about how you would respond to the situation created by Amanda’s concerns about Greg’s vegan diet.
Discussion Questions
For this discussion, choose to create either an ethical response to Amanda or an ethical conversation with Greg in which you react to this situation and express your feelings or concerns. Then provide a suggested message utilizing the suggestions for improving intercultural communication that you would deliver to either Amanda or to Greg in no less than one paragraph.
After presenting your suggested message, explain how you used key ideas from this module by applying concepts related to intercultural communication:
How did you approach this conversation using the suggestions for improving intercultural communication?
How did you express mindfulness, empathy, or a desire to learn?
How do you expect the receiver to react to your message?

Topic:
Improving Mental Health Resources for College Students
There is a
growing need for mental health support on college campuses, with many
institutions struggling to meet the increasing demand for counselling and
support services (Abrams, 2022). College students’ mental health treatment has
increased from 19% in 2007 to 34% in 2017, as identified by Lipson et al.
(2019).
The main
factors contributing to this issue include inadequate campus mental health
resources, the ceaseless culture of prejudice that still surrounds mental
health issues, a rise in academic and monetary pressure, challenges of
transitioning to college, and people becoming more enlightened and ready to
seek help than before, all this puts pressure on limited resources.
Possible
solutions are to encourage the campus counselling centre funding, set up
several layers of peer support, incorporate mental health topics into
orientation and general classes, launch a mental health orientation campaign,
and establish a tie-up with off-campus mental health facilities.
Another
critical factor in students’ concerns and performance is mental health. This
topic is also very pertinent to college students and deals with a current issue
that has both a short-term and long-term impact on people’s lives and the
campus at large.

Description:
Prepare a detailed FULL SENTENCE outline for Speech 3 using the template below. This does not mean writing your entire speech, but only writing the topic sentence for the three to five supporting points that prove your thesis. Include a thesis statement that contains the claim or prediction you will prove or illustrate (which is usually spoken); a purpose statement, indicating if you are persuading or informing the audience and the response from the audience you wish to achieve (which is not usually spoken); an introduction; a body, including supporting evidence; transitions; and a conclusion. When you use outside sources in creating your speech, include them in the speech with a short spoken citation and provide a bibliography in APA format on the outline.
OUTLINE TOPIC
Your Speech 3 Outline is over Speech 3, which is a 5 to 7 minute (closer to 7 minutes than to 5) speech in which you seek to persuade the audience to take some action or change some behavior or way of thinking. This argument is based on research, not on opinion, values, or beliefs. The essence of this speech is meant to cause the audience to respond in some way. While you may attempt to elicit an emotional response from the audience, the bulk of your argument must be based on current factual research. Describe to the audience the significance of this research evidence and explain how an analysis of it leads to the proof of your thesis.
This speech requires a visual aid! Part of your outline grade is the visual aid!
This speech requires the use of research and outside sources in creating your speech; include them in a bibliography as well as citing them in the outline and subsequent speech. Using at least two sources is required. Please use APA format for your citations in your outline.
Here is a list of possible persuasive topics (you are not required to choose from this list):
