The human resources department of Hancock manufacturing has realized some employment opportunities so as to improve the overall productivity of the organization. The mandate of this department is to recruit young graduates who are fresh from the university, who are energetic, and who can develop their careers within the company. During the recruitment, the human resources department looks for competent candidates who are equal to all challenges, goal-oriented individuals, ambitious, and initiative persons, who can work with the rest of the organizations team to achieve the set objectives of the organization. Training of the qualified candidates is done by this department to ensure the new employees are fully equipped with the knowledge to execute their roles and objectives of the organization.
The main reason for this department planning to recruit is due to several changes in the company such as technological changes. Due to the advancement of technology, this department requires some employees who can successfully handle new and modern machines. Both computerization and digitalization have resulted in the advancement of communication systems and the generation of new services within the organization. The combination of technological changes and the employment of new advanced employees will lead to the organization acquiring synergy in the current advancement of technology.
Another major change in the human resource department that has resulted in a dire need for employees is diversity. For any human resource management to be considered effective should be diversified. The diversification changes in this department involve special operational tools, making use of different approaches to solving challenges, and different types of employees with different levels of knowledge and skills among others. Effective human resource management brings together employees of different races, ages, religions, as well as competencies. A diversity change in this department policy is calling for more employees to work according to the required guidelines of the organization. Lack of diversification may be an indication of discrimination in an organization.
In addition, a Globalization change in human resource management is another issue that is resulting in this recruitment process. The HRM must work tirelessly to make sure that the whole organization has the right employees, who can work and meet the increasing demand due to changes in globalization. A change in globalization has resulted in increased opportunities that require a team that can exploit them fully. This is the reason why the human resource management has decided to recruit more employees whose interests can be matched with that of Hancock manufacturing. The new realities that come with globalization changes are calling for a new team to get the best approach to this change. If the human resource management team of Hancock manufacturing fails to match the globalization changes with the organization, less productivity might be realized leading to a downfall in profits.
In any organization, the code of ethics keeps on being advanced depending on the changes of both internal and external factors. At times a certain level of ethics may be required by the management team, whereby this can only be solved by recruiting some more employees who can counteract the change. For instance, change of ethics in an organization affects the employee responsibility, organizations privacy issues, safety and health care, performance appraisal, and job discrimination among others. Ethical values create trustworthiness with the members of the public as well as with the employees. In all organizations, ethical values are considered very important for long-term growth and advancement.
The trucking business is one of the most promising types of entrepreneurial activity. According to Mazareanu (2021), it accounts for the majority of land freight transportation in the United States, with a market valued at US$732.3 billion in 2020. Almost all categories of the population of large cities, small towns, remote villages, and other villages use the services provided by various transport companies and individuals to transport goods or things in different directions. It should also be taken into account that a significant part of the small and informal transport companies have left the market due to the recent crisis. In turn, a substantial market share is opening up for new companies that can be taken. Thus, designing a career development plan is a crucial condition for success. It is essential to organize work in such a way as to offer customers conditions that are more favorable than those of competitors.
Trucking Business Development Factors
Bowen (2020) notes that the following aspects could contribute to the development of trucking business: offering specialized services to both individuals and business entities; creation of a large car park, thanks to which it will be possible to satisfy the requirements of absolutely all customers; provision of a wide range of related services; introduction of a system of bonuses and discounts that will allow customers to save; provision of services for the transportation of non-standard cargo; work around the clock; provision of cargo storage services; provision of personnel and specialized equipment for loading and unloading operations.
Civic and Social Responsibility
Regardless of the purpose of delivery, the relevance of transportation is increasing. It isnt easy to imagine what will happen if the freight transportation market ceases to function for any reason. Life will rise, especially in big cities since essential goods and food will not be delivered, and medicines will disappear from pharmacies. Therefore, since the functioning of society as a whole depends on the development of this industry, the incorporation of service is a critical aspect. The main factor influencing success is the ability to offer the client a fast and efficient freight service with competitive prices.
Thus, the leading career plans for the next three years are:
Competent organization of transportation on cars of various types.
the ability to order the required frequency of delivery to any city;
no significant downtime during the movement;
the possibility of choosing an individual logistics scheme for each cargo.
Office, apartment, country, industrial moving
Moving requires a particular approach because it is necessary to deliver goods of various types furniture, large and small household appliances, and personal items. Thus, employees will be able to dismantle furniture and pack items. An equally important aspect is excluding the possibility of damage to property during the move.
Transportation of oversized cargo
Transportation of oversized cargo is the transportation of goods, the dimensions and weight of which exceed the allowable, one of the most complex and vital types of transportation. The company will transport industrial equipment, special equipment, vehicles, machine tools, and mechanisms, the dimensions of which exceed the established norms.
Needs and Plans for Further Professional Development
Modern business is open to everyone, and it is not difficult to choose a niche, find capital, draw up a development strategy and start. However, even if strictly adhering to each point of the plan, it is difficult to stay afloat if you lack the critical skills of an entrepreneur. According to Harvard Business Review (2019), the general list of skills needed by an entrepreneur includes effective communication skills; constant versatile self-training; emotional intelligence; networking; leadership; competent money management; knowledge of marketing and sales techniques; goal setting, planning; time management; self-organization; delegation of tasks; patience. Thus, for my business to become competitive, it is vital to attend online and offline courses on effective verbal and non-verbal communication, time management, management, and marketing, reading specialized literature, attending seminars and webinars by leading entrepreneurs, attending exhibitions related to chosen business niche, trucking.
Possible Risks
The development of the trucking business, as any other type of entrepreneurial activity, is accompanied by certain risks. It is necessary to analyze them in advance to exclude or reduce the likelihood of inevitable consequences.
The most commonly encountered risks are generally considered to be the following:
Unskilled personnel
All employees must have the necessary level of competence and experience in this industry. Bassia (2020) asserts that it is essential to use recruiting agencies to attract high-level specialists to reduce this risk.
Vehicle breakdowns
It is desirable to hire employees with work experience and good references from a previous job to minimize the risk. And also that the staff has sufficient knowledge to carry out car repairs.
Lack of sales and contracts with clients
This factor is of particular importance in determining the success of the company. To reduce risk, it is necessary to think over the companys marketing policy in advance and conclude service contracts with some clients even before renting an office and leasing equipment.
A decline in purchasing power
This is how one can characterize the process of inflation or changes in exchange rates.
Natural risks
Natural activity can adversely affect the implementation of cargo transportation. According to Ryder (2019), such circumstances do not depend on the entrepreneur.

Much water has flown under the bridge since 2010 when I graduated from RMIT. Diploma in my hands, a farewell party left in the past, I was looking into the future, starting a new life, full of challenges. An engineering profession is not an easy one, but I was never searching for easy ways and never regretted the occupation I had chosen. Now looking back to my life I would change nothing.
I always had everything a successful engineer needs. Inquisitive by nature, from early childhood I tried to make things work more efficiently, continually examining them and inventing new unexpected ways of their usage. I always could think logically and was mathematically inclined, paid much attention to the slightest details, as a single mistake may spoil the whole engineering project and put in vain hours of a teams hard work. It is very important to find your place in this world and I was lucky to do so. I must admit that I had three stars that lightened my career path and inspired me.
The first star was the star of Leonardo Da Vinci, a great Renaissance inventor that could consider himself an engineer, whose contribution to world science and bright personality impressed me much. He became my icon and inspiration, an ideal engineer so to say. Leonardos ideas were far ahead of his time, he was a great innovative thinker. It is a striking fact that his writings and sketches encourage experimentation even of the present-day engineers. Leonardo designed flying machines and instruments of war, worked at practical theories and concepts in engineering and mathematics. I think that I decided to devote my life to engineering watching bright pictures of Leonardos sketches in one of the encyclopedias for kids. Leonardo was the first to design a glider in the history of humanity and that glider, designed in the fifteenth century, has much in common with a glider of the twenty-first century. Remarkably, the scientists used one of his designs of a glider in their experiment a few years ago. They followed Leonardos instructions exactly and the materials used were similar to those of Vincis times. The experiment was even more successful than the well-known Wright brothers flight, the glide flew longer than their pilot did. The first concept of the helicopter with an aerodynamic screw belongs to Da Vinci and Leonardo was the first to mention the idea of the parachute. And what impressed me most was an incident from Leonardos youth which he considered to be a destiny sign. He was a baby when a hawk flew down and sat on his cradle. He could form a phobia of birds but instead of it, he saw a positive message in the incident, pointing to his destiny to achieve a flight. I recollected that myth at different periods of my life and always tried to form the right attitude to the events and destiny signs. By the way, much of Vincis study on aerodynamics is based on his study of bird flight. It is hard to believe but he managed to describe the sources of lift as well as pressure drag in the technical language of the early sixteenth century.
Another great engineer who became my inspiration was Gustave Eiffel, whose name bears a famous tower of Paris, the unprecedented 300 meters height and 7000 tons weight structure, the symbol of Paris. The birth of this masterpiece was not an easy one. The petition with 300 names expressed the protest to the monstrous Eiffel tower. People thought it could interfere with the birds flight and contradict the whole architecture of the city. But whatever difficult its birth was, at the present moment the tower is admired by millions of tourists from all over the world and is accepted by the French citizens completely. The fact is that Gustave Eiffel interested me much more for his experiments in aerodynamics, which is my specialization. His contributions to experimental aerodynamics are remarkable; some of his experimental techniques are still used nowadays. In 1909 Eiffel designed and built a wind tunnel within the shadow of his tower that was a new type of tunnel, which became the prototype of the classic type, named the Eiffel-type tunnel. There he conducted the first wind-tunnel tests, using the models of the complete airplanes, showing the correspondence between the test results and the actual flight. A year after the beginning of the operation Eiffel published his first data of the wind-tunnel experiments in the work The Resistance of the Air and Aviation, which remains a masterpiece of experimental aerodynamics. It was Eiffel who coined two new terms that are used every day in aerodynamics and that I used in my work. These are the terms wind tunnel and polar diagram, the latter now transformed into drag polars, but the use of the word polar is due to Eiffel. Eiffel first proved the principle that a net lift on a body in a flow is the integrated effect of the pressure distributions over its surface. His wind-tunnel tests became a heart and a soul in the twenty-first-century researches, I was lucky to read some of his works in the original and must admit that they are really of great scientific value and I felt proud using some of his methods more than a century after his death there was no another genius to make the same contribution to aerodynamics since then.
One more engineering project that motivated me was Dr. Marilyn Smiths research, which is our contemporary and together with her colleagues and students was working at the aircraft design, trying to make airplanes and helicopters less susceptible to damage from fatigue. I came across her project in the last year of my study and it impressed me greatly. They were trying to integrate computational fluid dynamics (CFD) applications with the structural equations of motion.
Incorporating the structural and aerodynamic equations of motion and CFD in the same computer code, she investigated the interaction between structure and fluid flow. Dr. Marilyn Smith was going to design a new type of aircraft, to incorporate acoustics into her research and to try to make the planes take-offs and landings more palatable to the ears of those who are on the ground. She made her biggest contribution to the study of aeroelasticity. These researches interested me greatly and I learned a lot about the results of their experiments, which were useful for me for my professional growth.
I started my career at Northrop Grumman Corporation, Pico Rivera in the position of an engineer, few years later it was the position of the leading engineer at the same company. That was my first experience, my responsibilities included CFD analyses, drag optimization, and stability estimation. I conducted several wind tunnel testings and made calculations for trade studies. At that time conducting the wind tunnel tests of advanced aerodynamic configurations I often remembered one of my icons, Eiffel, as it was he who contributed so much to the methodology of such tests and invented the word combination wind tunnel itself. And it was not that easy at his times as the science and technologies were not on that high level as they are at the moment, but still, he was single-minded and persevering. And I tried to do my best to make at least a small contribution to the researches connected with my profession, to which I devoted the whole of my life. The next place I am working at is Lockheed Martin Corporation, Palmdale, where I am in the position of an aeronautical engineer at the present moment. Here I am responsible for vehicle aerodynamic design and direct trade studies, the analysis of the wind tunnel testings, choice of the test program, and its updating due to the latest researches data. My functions are to analyze the aerodynamic data before the flight, to monitor the test data during the flight, and to analyze the simulation after the flight to verify some concrete aerodynamic models. I like the things I do very much, my everyday work is full of calculations, schemes and may seem monotonous and boring but I get satisfaction from what I am doing.
The engineers everyday reality is creating the artifacts of modern life and they can be found anywhere you look. Surely such brilliant scientists as Da Vinci, Eiffel are born once in several centuries, but such prominent researchers as Dr. Marilyn Smith are making their contribution into the general data storage today. Perhaps their work will be valued only by the next generations. Machines can replace a lot of other workers, but there are no such schemes and such mechanisms which could think logically and creatively at the same time, which could make our everyday life easier and bring comfort to our homes and making efforts to master the universe at the same time. The task of a good engineer is to find that balance: not only to dig into calculations and theoretical materials but manage to put them into practice, not only create something new, but not ruin the heritage of the past, to learn lots of laws, figures becoming a walking encyclopedia, but still being able to explain his inventions to ordinary people. They say that some of the engineers inventions can be used by engineers only. But, on the other hand, all the great inventions were not easily accepted by the audience, so it is up to an individual to decide whether his/her creations will be regarded as genius centuries ago or he/she would look like a strange professor, living in a separate world, far from reality and the surrounding.
I believe that every profession is important and valuable in its own way. It is only a question of how you feel doing this or that kind of job. Every personality is unique and nobody will give you universal advice. So, if you are a creative thinker, full of ideas for improving this world, enthusiasm to learn much and hard, you are welcome to become an engineer. But if you are not ready to devote every minute of your life to examining things and sometimes monotonous testing of the laws of nature, do not waste your time receiving a degree.
Five-Year Career Development Plan (from an accountant to a branch manager)
Career development plan is a proactive planning of a series of steps that are geared towards attaining a specific career goal (Raelin, 2002). It entails implementation of the action steps that will take you from the position you are to where you want to be after a stipulated period of time hence a career plan is very instrumental in ensuring that one achieves his or her career objectives.
Career Goals and Objectives
My five-year career development plan is in the business field, where I am currently working as an accountant in a bank and am planning that in the next five years I will have been promoted to the rank of a branch manager. The first step in achieving this milestone is by setting goals and objectives that will act as my guideline towards achieving my career development goal. In setting the goals, I have put into consideration some key factors that are critical in coming up with definite career objectives. First, the goals must be very specific and well designed, they should be measurable in terms of achievement, they should be attainable and realistic, the goals must be relevant to the long term career objective and lastly, they must be time bound, that is they should be set within a specific time frame (Schutt, 2007). Some of the goals and objective I have set include:
First, enhancement of my leadership skills. I have a sense of command and authority and so I am strongly convicted that I can make a good leader. I also like being at the fore-front and in control of any activity I undertake.
Secondly, development of my communication skills. I am an orator with excellent communication skills hence I will be in a position to utilize my abilities and even perfect my art of public speaking in the course of managing staff members and other junior employees in the organization.
Thirdly, gaining managerial skills. I am planning to run my own business one day and this will be a platform to help me gain managerial skills and hands-on experience on how to manage people and business at large.
In my action plan, I have considered possibilities of promotion opportunities arising which will help me attain my career goals. I have resolved to enroll in a masters class in Business Administration so as to secure my position in the organization and increase chances of getting promotion when the opportunity arises. I am also planning to attend all work-shops and seminars that can build my curriculum vitae and develop my leadership skills. I want to focus on deepening my expertise and narrowing my niche so as to specialize specifically on management field. This will help me rise in ranks and ultimately get to the manager.
In order to get to my dream career position, I have an obligation to impress my employers by doing an excellent work in my current position so as to earn their trust. I am required to display high standards of discipline and commitment to my work. This calls for perseverance and hard work. I should be in a position to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Action Steps
The first step is to have some form of accountability. This could be a person in the work place who is very close and whom I can fully trust. He will be responsible in keeping me on check and since he is in a good position to monitor and assess my abilities, he can advice me on how to capitalize on my strengths and suppress my weakness. I will also be required to do some self assessments so as to keep track on my career development plan. A career development counselor may also be of help to tutor and prepare me towards attaining my dream goal. Secondly, I need to be a good networker and get in the circle of prominent and successful businessmen and women. Through networking and knowing of prominent personalities, I will get the challenge and the drive to work harder and achieve what they have achieved in their careers. This will also motivate me to fully utilize my potential in the course of attaining my dream goal.
Thirdly, I need to have a mentor, most preferably a person who is in the position where I would like to be so as to be challenged and empowered towards getting to where he is. This will also help me know what it entails being a branch manager and be prepared psychologically for same.
Potential Barriers
In the course of attaining my set career objectives, there bound to a rise a number of issues that will curtail my career plan. Some of the obstacles include: educational level, due to limited time to venture more into furthering my studies, five years may elapse before I obtain the required academic papers for such a position. Again, balancing of my set goals with family, personal issues and other aspects of life may prove to be a delicate balance that may curtail my career objectives. Transfer to another station, I may be transferred to a different station where am new to my colleagues and employers and I may be forced to adjust to the new environment. This will be an obstacle towards attaining my five-year career development plan because of the change in environment and management. Competition from my fellow colleagues, I may be out-competed by other competent and more experienced senior colleagues in the organization hence missing out on the top position within the stipulated five-year plan. Other unpredictable natural occurrences like health issues may also curtail my career plan.
Conclusion
The five-year career development plan is sufficient time to enable one develop a career and expertise in a given field. The five-year time frame also enables one to rise in ranks and achieve the set career objectives. In order to achieve this action plan, it calls for commitment and patience from the side of the planner. This is because of the many setbacks that are bound to arise in the course of achieving the dream career. You must also have a self drive and high self esteem to sail you through the hurdles and day to day challenges at the place of work. Participating in the various training, workshops and seminars will help one acquire the relevant knowledge and skills required for career development. Through the various training, you will have an opportunity to increase your network of professional personalities and career developers who are vital in steering one to attaining a successful career development plan. The time and resources invested in such training programs is insignificant when compared to the long-term returns and benefits that come with it (Wendleton, 2005).

The ideal development of a person follows a unique route directing resources, facilities, capabilities, abilities, potentials, and interest among other in a line of presumed achievement. Most researchers argue that there are intuitive characters and motivations that shape how an individual grows and becomes prevalent in a community.
Essentially, these developments are associated with personalities, professionalism, career and career paths. There are processes and tactical handling of issues that must be conjoined to direct growth and development on these four aspects. In this regard, it is apparent that the fundamentality of managing and planning these attributes is beyond reproach.
An individual needs to set a line of interests to ensure that his or her working path has objectives and goals. In this manner, the person can develop personality, career and become a professional in his or her area. This paper evaluates a case of development in various aspects and comparisons. In a bid to perform this task, I have evaluated my strategy while striving to develop into a career warranting me a sustainable future.
Personal and Career Purpose
The presence of a goal or a future aspiration allows me to plan and change my attitudes and characters. Primarily, individual characters determine the people I can interact with and set my social class into a disclosed discourse. The most tactical strategies may involve developing skills and experiences through employment and education.
First, education has allowed me to gain skills and attain credential for employment with reputable and well paying firms. Several personalities like patience and persistence have developed subconsciously and through training systems. Such personalities have significant outcomes in the real life. They make me competitive while searching for employment or any other work related issue.
These situations revealed that I knew how to outline my plan in creating meaning to every situation. At several instances I have managed to create and organize peoples into groups handling various issues as well as lead them tactically pursuant of my leadership dreams. Furthermore, I had managed to identify opportunity where I could develop my talents as I proceeded with further studies.
I have become an experienced and competitive artisan in a way that I can use it to earn a living. Furthermore, it is apparent that people are convinced by my inspirational encouragements, which attract them towards personal development. Therefore, I have become a person to encourage and motivate others.
These aspects are part of a plan developing my skills and experiences to facilitate the integration of huger ideas and knowledge. They have allowed me to attain insight into various levels of my career. Tactically, there have been adequate concerns regarding the credibility of ideas.
Motivation is an aspect that can be implemented to improve the performance of employees and boosting their tactical approaches in attaining customer satisfaction. Essentially, maintaining the workforce of a business in a critical tool for ensuring that secrets and skills are retained within the business. This aspect implies that a business must be conscious about the working conditions of its esteems employees.
In fact, most of the employees working in such a business as the Luxury Hotel undertake shores within a career path where they improve their skills. The employees become the managers and end up becoming significant operators for business proceedings. In this regard, it is vital to create a system that allows employees to show their competitiveness and abilities.
The management may formulate model involving increment in salaries, elevating the working class, and initiating competition plan involving winning prizes among others. All these aspects do not only improve the overall business performance, but also isolate the dedicated employees to work and become future managerial workforce.
The employee would view this process of reward as an opportunity to earn extra income and attain better-working conditions within the business. In essence, some issues related to authoritative management may be transformed to situations where employees work under minimal supervision since they have set goals at a personal level.
This research presents these incentives and shows how they are applied to become beneficial to an organization. In so doing, it reaches the managerial and non-managerial workforce to attain all diverse incentives that may assist businesses to become productive and inspiring.
Career Decision
In essence, the process of making this decision was consistent to some of the theories of decision making. It is an indication that people make decisions in ways that can be generalized to apply to majority. Evidently, the process was characterized by some aspects envisaged in bounded rationality.
The theory of bounded rationality reveals that there are two systems of thoughts, including emotional and rational approaches to decision making (Schiavone 2011). When the parents were making this decision, the mother had taken an emotional approach while the father was rational. Clearly, the mother feared that the financial and moral destructions were beyond repair.
She felt that the family might become financially incapacitated if they bought the private school. However, she did not have the actual figures to support the fact that the current financial capability of the family could not handle the destructions. In essence, it was a decision that was based merely on the outward perception of the school rather than facts.
On the other hand, the father argued that the mismanagement prevailing in the school wasted the lives of many pupils. As a result, it was important to offer a solution to the problem. In his case, he stated that there were two options that included building another school or acquiring the existing one. However, he argued that building another school was more costly that acquisition.
Further, he pointed out that the family cannot make a conclusion on whether the investment was too taxing without getting all the facts first. He also indicated that the family would invest despite financial incapability because he was confident that the school could bring good returns if it were managed correctly.
The theory of common biases was also evident in this entire scenario and the holistic process of making the decision. In this regard, the misconception of chance was the most evident bias. The theory states that people have a tendency to misconceive that the probability of getting a certain outcome is less than another one (Adair 2010). This perception is informed by emotions and past experiences (Choi 2011).
However, present and future events are not necessarily consistent with the past ones (Xu 2011). In this case, the mother had a misconceived perception that the chances of succeeding in an attempt to renovate and improve the school were minimal. However, this perspective was not informed by factual financial figures that could provide a rationale. In essence, it can be considered as a perfect case of misconceived chance.
In a broader perspective, it cannot be disputed resolutely that people are more pessimistic about success (Dolton 2011). Only a few people who have strong will, passion, and determination envisage optimism. As such, the mother was a victim of this general condition since she did not find a good chance of success.
Besides the two theories of decision making, the process also envisaged clear indications of heuristics. In theoretical understanding, heuristics purports that people have certain ways of simplifying information and factor of decision making (Missier 2011). These simplifications create a situation in which the decision maker does not consider the factors with due diligence.
Further, the theory asserts that simplifying the aspects of decision making might lead to a misconception of the reality (Nooraie 2011). Such misconceptions are informed by concentrating on the wrong focus and disregarding the real one (Su 2011). For example, the father asserted that acquiring a constructed school is less costly than building a new one.
However, it is evident that the school, which was in question, had gained a bad reputation among parents and was in a financial crisis. As a result, the cost of acquisition was not the only factor in decision making. Instead, it was important to consider other crucial factors such as reputation and precedence. Whereas these two aspects were important to the investment decision, the father overlooked them.
This ignorance and assumption were caused by the simplification of the scenario in a manner that considered cost as the only important variable.
As a result, it can be concluded that bounded rationality, common biases, and heuristics were among the critical decision-making theories that characterized the entire process of purchasing the school. Indeed, this process contained two parties and hence the analysis is based on both of them.
Reflection
Having reflected on the event that took place when the decision was being made by the parents, there were critical undertaking that were crucial to notice. First, rationality is a better approach to making a decision that emotional perspective. When a decision makers embrace rationality, they can conceptualize issues from a sober position. In that regard, their decisions are not hasty.
Instead, they are procedural and sequential in nature. Therefore, the approach allows the decision maker to pass through the necessary steps when making a determination. For example, the fathers rationality enabled him to wait and assess the financial requirements before dismissing the acquisition.
On the other hand, an emotional approach is a fundamentally flawed method of making decisions. In this regard, decision makers who used this method rush to determine the way forward without deep and profound considerations. For example, the mother had already dismissed the acquisition of the schools just because of the fear that the family was going to run short of funds.
Whereas this was the core determining factor of her decision, she did not have any convincing figures to show that the family would become incapacitates if they purchased the school. Biases are also important when it comes to the decision-making process. In fact, it is evident that people become biased even without noticing.
Lastly, I would have made this decision in a pretty different manner than how it was done in this case. Personally, I would have talked to some able parents and friends about the challenges facing the school and the community. In the discussion, the issue of poor management and quality of the education provided in the school could be the core agendas.
Afterwards, I would propose to join hands with those colleagues and acquire the school as a group. This decision could have been better than the latter because the potential financial risk would be shared. Additionally, acquiring the school as a group would eliminate the notion of private school and bring a picture of a community-based school.
In essence, this would be an appropriate strategy for removing the bad reputation that had been painted by the previous management. Further, managing the school as a group would allow the availability of diverse intellectual ideas of improving it.
Teamwork
The management of virtual teams may depict various fundamental challenges. The researchers laying arguments in the literature depict the need and effectiveness of virtual teams. They are identified as prevailing businesses effective in reaching the final outcomes of the researchers. The developments of the virtual teams are improving continuously as the information technology proceeds to attain integration across the globe.
The review indicates the proper management allows the teams to attain clients and loyalty for the services they offer. The use of internet in reaching their target members depict the impending quorum required. Presently, the teams have managed to penetrate and unity many people across the globe making the accessibility of services such as marketing easy. The virtual teams have allowed globalization to take place easily.
In fact, such social companies do make not only huge profits due to the prevalence of members and common interests, but also creates global civilization and understanding of cultural differences. Such interactions are similar to the application of virtual teams in handling issues throughout the globe. They bring the human resources at one point where they may be accessed and exploited by firms or business easily.
Conclusion
The most fundamental achievement of the development is attaining a workforce striving the meet the company goals in a willing manner. In businesses that do not consider motivating the employees, their work is usually directed by the salary earning the get from the business.
However, the motivation oriented workforce does not target the salaries solely. The workforce works hard to attain salaries among other benefits being offered. In fact, businesses managed through authoritative systems fail the employees in working effectively due to lack of peaceful and free mind. In this regard, there must be proper developmental capabilities to deal with issues personally and organizationally.

Networking builds a network of business ties and forms a circle of people around you, each of whom is professional in a specific field. According to Batistic and Tymon (2017), Networking is the age-old practice of building and nurturing personal and professional links with a variety of people to create a bank of resources, including contacts, information, and support (p. 375).
Main body
Here are several tips for a starting specialist when seeking new employment with using the networking:
Finding a goal. Firstly, a person needs to understand what they truly need: small and medium-sized business, or concern, start-up, or leading position? The geographical location of the occupation is also significant; the person should fancy the environment around them. The clearer one presents the picture of the workflow, the better. However, one needs to understand that if a person plans to grow in the company quickly, then a small organization in the province is unlikely to help.
Assess the current situation. How well developed is the contact network? How many contacts does one have on social business networks?
Develop a strategy. Which contacts could one contact right away? Is it possible to contact them via the Internet, or will one need to attend any conference? Since networking can happen anywhere, be prepared to introduce yourself and deliver your pitch about who you are and what you want to do (Job Search Strategy and Research, 2019). Moreover, one should consider how they want to appear before these people.
Planning. One must apply multiple opportunities to talk with a person needed. It can be various conferences, fairs, and informal business lunches. Furthermore, one may consult with professionals they trust professionally and ask them to speak honestly about one even if the answer is not pleasant (Job networking tips HelpGuide.Org, 2020).
Conclusion
If someone is ready to help one, willingly accepting their help will be the best way to communicate. Therefore, a novice specialist will always have an opportunity to seek help or advice.

The police detective career is very dynamic and demanding, especially the sections of criminal investigations such as homicide and theft. The job description includes investigations, traffic control, enforcement of state and local law, writing citations, arresting unlawful violators of law, and most importantly writing reports on a daily basis. An individual interested in perusing the career must have at least a high school diploma and a passion for justice.
The hiring process is very competitive and requires special skills and talent in observing the finer details. The salary range for career is between $4,000 and $30,000, depending on level of service in the policy division of the criminal justice system. In order to get a promotion, the success rate must be above 80% of all cases handled. The career in policing is time consuming since an officer can be summoned for duty at any time. At the police stations, there are senior managers who have the role of planning daily policing activities and managing the challenges police officers experience in their line of duty.
Introduction
The department of police detective in any policing community is very dynamic and discovery oriented since officers in this field have to devise ways of defeating criminal activities. Specifically, the selection, hiring, and promotion processes for any typical police detective is very detailed since the job card requires the most qualified police officer. The training process is prolonged and there are guidelines that facilitate the transition from recruitment into actual duties. The requirements for joining this career include physical fitness, high school diploma certificate, high critical thinking skills, and availability for service. This paper will review the job card, requirements, remuneration, promotion, and physical work environment of a police detective.
Police detective job
The job title of a police detective is very involving since it requires technical skills in criminal investigation. Generally, a police detective performs specialized duties and has the sole mandate of generating investigative reports in liaison with other enforcement agencies. The specialized roles of a police detective are to conduct narcotics investigations, perform surveillance and establish and maintain contacts with informants; investigate gang related crimes; respond to and investigate scenes of crimes such as homicide, theft, robbery, auto theft, illegal sex related activities; and, crimes committed by juveniles (Beggs & Davies, 2009, p. 29).
Education and training requirements
In order to qualify for recruitment as a police detective, the candidate must have a minimum academic qualification of high school diploma or an equivalent of the same. Besides, the candidates must be at least twenty one years of age with a clean criminal record. The main training requirements for this post include possession of critical skills such as strong communication skills, good judgment, leadership, and organization skills (Police Science and Law Enforcement, 2015, par. 8) since the job description involves application of analytical skills and ability to make rational judgments in crisis. In specialized forces, an additional degree in criminal justice may be an added advantage for a potential candidate as was my case.
Qualifications
The first qualification is possession of at least a high school diploma education. Besides, the potential candidate must have citizenship of the country he or she wants to serve as a detective. In most countries across the globe, a potential candidate for the post of a police detective should have a valid driving license with very minimal past driving offenses. It is necessary for the candidate to have tax compliance certification, good conduct certificate, and a recommendation letter from a least two division of the local authority (Peak, 2009).
Hiring process
The hiring process begins by advertisement of available police detective positions in the local dailies. An interested candidate who meets the minimum requirements may send an application alongside his or her curriculum vitae addressed to the recruiting institution. After short listing, the successful candidates are invited for series of interviews on education requirement, health accreditation, and physical fitness test.
After this point, the successful candidates are invited into the detective school to undergo job preparation. The recruits are required to participate in various class-related law enforcement courses and to pass several physical examinations. Courses cover areas involving state and local laws, police ethics, and civil rights (Los Angeles Police Department, 2015, par. 9). The training process involves testing of physical skills, academic prowess, and personal working skills.
Each candidate must pass all these tests in order to graduate from the detective school as a qualified police detective. After completion of the training, the detective graduates are deployed to different police departments on a training basis for at least six months before being commissioned as a qualified police detective.
Duties/responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of a police detective are investigating crimes, generating reports, and liaising with other policing units in the process of criminal investigation and apprehension. Apart from criminal investigations, a police detective may also perform court liaison functions, provide electronic equipment expertise to conduct surveillance and polygraph examinations, investigate applicants and businesses who have applied for Police Commission permits to conduct business, investigate child abuse cases, and conduct investigations of crimes committed by gangs of foreign origin (Gottschalk, 2010, p. 27).
In addition, a police detective may perform duties such offering professional leadership in case profiling, generation of reports, and communicating information along the chain of command for maximum effectiveness of the police detective department.
Salary range (Local and national)
The salary range of police detectives depends on the rank of each detective, duties assigned, and level of operations. The first rank in detective field is detective 1 followed by detective 2 and detective 3. In the field of criminal investigations, detective 3 has the highest rank and attracts the highest remuneration packages. On the other hand, detective 1 has the lowest rank and lowest compensation package since the responsibilities at this level. At the local level, the salary range for police detectives is $3,000 to $15,000. At national level, the salary range for police detective is $4,000 to $30,000.
Promotion requirements
In order to qualify for promotion from detective 1 to detective 2, there must be consistency in handling different criminal cases as expected. Besides, the success rate should be above 80% of all cases assigned to an office. In addition, the officer must display consistency, team work, and high moral standards within the policing regulation policies. In most cases, the aspect of experience is also considered, especially when transitioning from detective 2 to detective 3 ranks (Peak, 2009). Being a police officer in rank 1, I was subjected to more than 8 months training in criminal investigation and writing citations.
Working conditions (shifts hours)
Since detective work in a dynamic environment, work hours always stretch past the expected shifts. Apparently, the majority of police detectives work on a full-time basis, although paid overtime is common. Detectives work in shifts 24 hours a day, and younger members of the team will likely work more night shifts in the beginning (Police Science and Law Enforcement, 2015, par. 6). Each shift lasts for eight hours although it may stretch to more than 20 hours depending on the quantity of work available. The shifts run concurrently, especially in the criminal investigation duties.
Physical requirement
In order to qualify as police detective, the candidate must be physically fit with a height of at least five feet. The candidate must have clean health record from accredited medical facility. The candidate must have minimal skin breakage marks, good eye sight, perfect hearing ability, and good body weight. In addition, the candidate must pass mental fitness examination in order to get a clean bill of health on physical fitness (Peak, 2009).
Detective welfare and motivation
Police station managers are empowered by the constitution to perform the role of prefects and offer leadership solutions upon consultation with one another. To control group behavior, desirable leadership attributes are necessary. Therefore, actions are most often attributed to four causes: effort and ability (both internal and dispositional causes), luck, and task difficulty (both external and situational causes (Beggs and Davies, 2009, p. 22).
Effective police station behavior system is acquired through creativity inspiration in communication systems that senior and junior officers use in encoding and decoding information from the public and within themselves. When successfully carried out, redundancy and emotional strains are kept at bay, as constant interaction is a means of boosting confidence and personality which is a recipe for good law enforcement (Beggs & Davies, 2009). This is summarized in the diagram below.
From the above figure, it is important to establish the most appropriate police management strategies to ensure that law enforcement is within the confines of the constitution and commands support from the public. Besides, effective policing welfare system motivates police officers to perform optimally with minimal supervision.
Rules governing career in policing
Carter is critical and objective in analyzing types of abuse of authority (Peak 2009), which is against the policing service. The first typology identified is the use of excessive force or physical abuse of the citizen when making an arrest. Although the policing policy allows for use of minimal force when arresting a resisting citizen, police officers should not take advantage of this to torture citizens and cause major bodily harm or even death. The U.S Supreme Court has reaffirmed the fact that using bullets on nonviolent and unarmed suspect is against the Fourth Amendment (Peak, 2009) as indicated in appendix 2.
As an oversight authority, the police officers are not allowed to apply psychological and verbal abuse on the public in their line of duty. For instance, use of profane language on the citizen is classified by Carter as psychological game aimed at insulting, degrading, and imposing unjust authority on their subjects as indicated in appendix 1. The use of profanity has several effects on the victim and should not be used by police officers. In order to avoid this situation, Carter proposes minimizing profanity among the police force through scrutiny of profanity complains and police leadership banning its use in the public (Peak, 2009).
Personal reflection
From the findings of this report, I have gathered knowledge on the necessary training I need to focus on to further personal career growth and development as a police officer. I have chosen the unique recital engagement rituals of the policing authority because it has created an environment of dynamic, consultative, and proactive service for police officers. The ritual also defines the line between the rationally correct, economically viable, and ethically correct decisions as a police officer.
Since the policing institution has a reputation for hiring the best, I have to maintain high average grade to increase my chances of getting a promotion from the current detective 1 rank to detective 2 or even detective 3. To be competitive, I will frequently update my skills through quality work to make my achievements and experiences visible. I would confess that pursuing career in policing in the US is the most time-consuming part of my job. However, since I have developed good technical writing skills, I have become a good law enforcement officer, as attention to detail and specifics are always part of my duties (Alred, Brusaw, & Oliu, 2011).
In writing the report on career in policing as a police officer, I have learned to appreciate the need for clear communication and organization of the evidence within the crime under investigation. Besides, I have come to appreciate the essence of writing in a few words to summarize would have been along sentence. This is necessary to balance the written and verbal aspects of communication in the line of duty. Although I was accorded previous training on how to write citations, I have developed thought arrangement skills through aligning different evidences under review into parts for ease of flow (Alred, Brusaw, & Oliu, 2011).
The process of developing the report was very challenging, since each topic was unique and required different approach. However, I managed to overcome this challenge through carrying out research to establish fact about each topic as related to career in policing. I must admit that the successful completion of the project gave me an idea of how to organize a pattern of thought into sensible points that are supported by well cited evidence (Wetzel, 2010).
Conclusion
In conclusion, the police detective job is very dynamic and any interested candidate must have good health, physical fitness, and at least a high school diploma to qualify. The process of becoming a police detective begins at recruitment and ends with the graduation from the police academy. As a police officer, my job description includes investigations, traffic control, writing citations, arresting unlawful violators of law, and most writing reports on a daily basis.
Besides, I should follow the policing guidelines to avoid writing reports that are ambiguous or inaccurate in capturing of a case (Wetzel, 2010). In writing this paper, I have learned to appreciate the need for focused analysis and arrangement of thought patterns into sensible arguments (Alred, Brusaw, & Oliu, 2011).

Field study of global health is involved in health promotion and ensuring equality in providing medical care to all. Global health involves prevention measures of illnesses, determinants of health, and transitional health issues. The field has many career opportunities, and I am mostly interested in the physician career; the first stop patients make once they need medical assistance. This paper aims to define my career as a physician and all it entails and explain why I choose to pursue this profession.
Physician as a Career
The career involves taking a patients medical history, ordering tests to know which illness a patient is suffering from, and identifying irregularities in the patients body. Physicians see healthy patients for check-ups to prevent illnesses before they start. National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) areas of responsibility and competencies involve assessment, evaluation, planning, administration, advocacy, and communication (Eifert et al., 2021). Based on the tests and examinations, they can prescribe medicines for the patient as a treatment plan.
Responsibilities in a physicians career include the following:
Ordering tests for patients and analyzing them to diagnose a patients illness.
Referring the patient to a specialist when needed.
Creation of a payment plan for the patient based on their diagnosis.
Explanation of side effects that may arise from medications and medical procedures.
Conducting performance of basic treatment procedures.
Recording the medical history of the patient.
Identifying symptoms experienced by a patient and diagnosing illnesses (Perumalswami et al., 2020).
Provide the patient with advice concerning their illness.
May answer any medical question the patient may have.
The qualifications needed include:
A bachelors degree where some medical school needs specific course work for the significance of qualification to a medical school.
A medical degree is acquired by completing medical school, which takes four years.
A medical internship is done after graduating from medical school. A physician has a year of internship and on-job training where a physician can choose there are of a specialty
The residency was in the US; there is a need for three to seven years of residency, a post-training graduate where doctors can practice medicine in their specialty area under an experienced doctors supervision (Erschens et al., 2021).
After the physician completes their residency period, they may apply to gain a license and become a board-certified practitioner in medicine.
Challenges faced in the physician career may include regulatory requirements where they have to face enormous burdens of paperwork to remain competitive in the field. There may be funding challenges for small independent practices that challenge ethical dilemmas, such as balancing patients medical needs and their ability to pay for medical care (Bunnik et al., 2018). Physicians may experience physical burnout from work and the growth of telemedicine, where they need to stay informed about current and emerging technologies.
To tackle shortcomings in my career, I will pay attention to nonverbal communication from my patients and provide ways for them to gather more information and remain motivated to keep my medical requirements up to date. There will be increased involvement in encouraging patients to take care of their mental health. Finally, I will learn about upcoming technologies and keep up to date to ensure quality care and make all efforts to give quality care to my patients.
Physicians have a great chance of placement in the medical field with the rise of diseases and the need for health care globally. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic decreased the health status of many individuals and lowered immunity hence a need for health care. The working hours are between 40 to 60 hours weekly; however, most of them may find themselves working up to 61 to 80 hours do the demanding nature of the work. For remuneration in the US, the average salary for a physician is $ 243,990 annually, and others may get paid up to a range of $ 48,000 to $ 453,000 annually (Streilein et al., 2018). There are chances of growing overall employment rates for physicians, projected to be 3% by 2030 (Zhang et al., 2020). Despite the evidence for limited employment growth, there are expectations for over 22,700 job openings for physicians each year over decades.
I must be equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in the physician career. Communication skills are significant as the career dictates great and effective communication with patients, nurses, caregivers, and support staff. Attention to detail to make sure patients receive proper treatment and medication. Leadership qualities to issue directions to other staff members. Patience and compassion to the patients to give quality medical care. Other skills and qualifications involve problem-solving, organizational and personal stamina and agility. The career most appeals to me due to my high interest in helping others and making their lives better regardless of their conditions and circumstances. Moreover, my number one motivation is a physician career essential for a happy and healthier society.
Conclusion
In conclusion, global health is essential for giving quality care worldwide. Therefore, I choose a career as a physician, which involves taking a patients medical history and ordering tests to know the patients illness. The career has various responsibilities in giving quality care to patients. Some qualifications are required to pursue the career and skills requirements. Challenges are common, and knowledge of tackling them is essential. The papers purpose was to analyze the physician career and why I chose this career. As expressed, I am interested in the profession and will appreciate pursuing it.
In this paper, I focus on my personal nursing philosophy and the way I will use it to guide myself through my nursing career. My conviction is that nursing should readily embrace all possible dynamics to ensure that quality care is the first priority at any given time. Nursing must also go beyond the basic healthcare that involves treating patients to considering the personal needs of each patient. This connection is essential in making him/her feel relaxed and comfortable as they undergo medical treatment. To promote the best nursing practices, I believe there should be strong relations within the healthcare fraternity with the aim to improve patient care. My philosophy also considers the communities around, within which I must work ensuring that quality health for all is achieved without exceptions.
Personal Philosophy of Nursing
Introduction
Driven by an urge to care for others especially those in need, I got interested in finding out what made nurses special people within the society since there was always something that set them out from other professionals. I decided to make nursing my career and now I know how it feels when you do the best you can just to make sure that another person has a smile on their face, free of any pain or illness. My philosophy of nursing revolves around giving quality care to patients today, for a brighter tomorrow (Seedhouse, 2000).
Nature of Nursing
It is important for any nurse to be well versed with the dynamics of nursing in order to remain relevant in addressing patients needs. A clear understanding of patients needs covers all aspects of care giving and thus nurses must also be updated on the emerging issues in health care. This includes advancing knowledge and moving towards the research based care giving (Brencick &Webster, 2000; Fitzpatrick & Kazer, 2012).
Patient Care
My philosophy of nursing distinguishes between the physical presence around the patient and an emotional connection with him/her. Patient care should presuppose understanding the patients emotional, mental and spiritual needs in order to provide an all-rounded care that satisfies the patients inner desires and not just treats their illnesses without considering any deep rooted issues (Kim & Kollak, 2006).
Relation with other Healthcare Professionals
Nursing should not only consider the relation between nurses and patients but that with other health caregivers as well. Teamwork is always the key to achieving greater results faster and as such, I look forward to creating teams and collaborating with all players in this sector to enhance health care for the benefit of the patient (Watson, 2008). The desire to ensure that a patient will not have to suffer from pain tomorrow should be a driving force to make sure that the best is done today. Communication is also a significant avenue, through which the ideas can be shared. So, my relation with other professionals must incorporate open, reliable and timely communication (Brencick & Webster, 2000).
Conclusion
This philosophy paper has reiterated to me the key aspects of every value I hold dear to my nursing career. First, it has reminded me that the reason I do this is improvement of the health care quality given to patients to guarantee a better treatment. Second, the patient must also remain the nerve center of all other interactions I make and especially with other health care professionals. Finally yet importantly, I must make an extra effort to better myself today to provide better care to potential patients.

Pursuing a career in sports, I would nevertheless like to connect it with my proficiency in other spheres thus, the profession of financial sports analyst may be regarded as preferable for me. The financial analyst provides financial performance management, financial analysis and support, and financial process and reporting rigor for teams and even leagues depending on his position (Senior financial analyst, 2023). In particular, this specialist manages operating budgets, capital expenditure forecasts, and cash flows, performs financial tracking, evaluates the budgets risks and opportunities, provides financial expertise, and develops financial models for business operations.
It goes without saying that being a financial sports analyst requires particular knowledge and skills that should be acquired or developed to be added to my resume. First of all, this specialist should demonstrate proficiency and experience in business, finance, and accounting, along with awareness of sports events. In addition, essential skills include critical thinking, independent reasoning, attention to details, multitasking, and time management. Moreover, the financial analyst should have excellent verbal and written communication skills to work in a team and coordinate his performance with others activities. It goes without saying that he should have basic knowledge of computer programs related to accounting as well. Finally, the analyst should demonstrate resilience to stress and the ability to organize working time and prioritize tasks.
At the same time, I believe that the importance of my sports management degree should be highlighted in my cover letter as a reason why I am the most suitable candidate for this position. I would state that being interested in sports is essential, however, only a sports management degree provides professionalism (Why a sports management degree will separate you from the competition, 2015). In other words, it ensures the understanding of the inner processes of the sports industry that cannot be perceived through watching games and being aware of leading athletes.
