Who is a physical education teacher?
A physical education teacher is responsible for planning, teaching and tutoring students in a school setting. They teach a range of different sports and provide young people with an opportunity to develop and improve their social and physical skills.
The skills that you would need in order to be a PE teacher You would to have the knowledge of teaching and the ability to design courses, also you would need to be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities to take part and learn new skills, the ability to use your initiative, knowledge of English language you would need to have because most of the student speak English and this is a must know in England.
you would also need the ability to work well with others because a teacher needs to be able to learn from the students or listen to them , because in order to tell some what to do you would need to know what there lacking on and what their best at without listening at them you would also need excellent verbal communication skills because this would help you when trying to give out the rules and instructions but also this would make you seem like you know what you’re doing.
if you do not have leadership skills telling your students what to do will be a big task for you because they might not listen to you and they might not do the task properly. While teaching students might be a bit silly so you will need to be patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

- Enthusiasm
Physical education teachers deal with students from all types of backgrounds. While the athletes in the class might be excited to get in a workout or try a new sport, the non-athletic kids might be scared or apathetic.
- Broad Knowledge Base
Over a semester, a physical education teacher might cover 10 or more sports and activities. What is more, they must do so in a way that keeps students safe and injury-free. Teachers who have a broad base of knowledge are more likely to succeed.
- Patience
For the teacher, gym class comes with inevitable challenges. Some students might refuse to play; others might continually forget the rules of the game. Kids who are not used to exercise might act out when forced to be active.

When schools feel the strain of budget cuts, physical education classes are often on the chopping block. That is why advocacy is one of the key characteristics of a Phys ed teacher. More than once in their career, a PE teacher may need to fight to keep gym classes in schools.

Experience
I am in a rugby team and I am helping my little brother’s couch on couching the youngers in football which improves my coaching skills but also this gets me a step closer to my end goal which to be a PE teacher, because that gave me the ideas on how to teach the people and how not to do it. This gave a chance to get the benefits of coaching and what are the importance of a coach.
