Ethical Dilemma: Covid-19 Restrictions
Assignment:
Taking into consideration the 4 ethical principles (autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence and justice) and ethical reasoning (the dilemma, stakeholders, optimal decision, etc.) please consider your decision of whether or not masks mandates, social distancing, mandatory quarantines and isolation should be implemented if we see a drastic spike in Covid-19 cases. Discuss some of the ethical concerns of the public that might make the restrictions necessary. Also, consider some of the ethical concerns of the individuals that have the disease or have been exposed but do not have symptoms. Identify your position, for or against mandatory restrictions and give an argument discussing stakeholder’s values to defend this position.
Please include sources.

What is a Mind Map? A “Mind Map” is a diagram used to visually organize information and show relationships among the pieces of information. (Wikipedia) The Mind Map is a common way of taking notes in Biology courses.
You can draw the mind map on a piece of paper and then take a screenshot and upload it into Canvas. Or, there are free mind map tools online that you can use.
Here are a couple of You Tube videos to help you see examples of mind maps:

Evolution involves some relatively predictable processes (selection and gene flow) but also has unpredictable aspects (mutation, genetic drift). For this reason, we can understand what has happened in hindsight, but it may be very hard to predict what will happen next in an evolving population.
For this assignment, you should create a presentation that provides your findings from outside research. Please find examples of 1) a mutation, 2) gene flow, and 3) genetic drift. You should give a description of each and an example. There should be visual images to show your findings in addition to the written description. Give enough information to show that you clearly understand the differences in each concept.
