Only one question needs to be answered. Requires you to watch a video of a PRESENTATION and then go answer it.
Preferably you can write how you arrived at your answer. It also requires you to write the reference.
Question:

Assignment 8: Methods, Results, and SAS Code
In this assignment, you will be writing the methods and results section of a scientific manuscript
using the results you obtained from your data analyses. Use the following outline (based on
STROBE guidelines) to format your writing. Include your annotated and clean SAS codes as an
appendix to your file.
METHODS
Paragraph 1: Description of study design and setting
● Reference published NHANES papers for examples
Paragraph 2: Description of participants and study size
● Give eligibility criteria, explain how sample size of analytic sample was arrived at
Paragraph 3: Measurement of exposure variable
● Discuss how exposure was measured in the NHANES study and any modifications you
made to the raw data (e.g. computing new variables, categorizing existing variable)
Paragraph 4: Measurement of outcome variable
● Discuss how outcome was measured in the NHANES study and any modifications you
made to the raw data (e.g. computing new variables, categorizing existing variable)
Paragraph 5: Statistical methods
● Written with enough detail that a peer could replicate your tables
● Statistical methods used to describe the study sample
● Statistical methods used to assess the association between your exposure and outcome
TABLES AND FIGURES
Provide the final version of tables 1 and 2, and a figure (if relevant)
RESULTS
Paragraph 1: Descriptive data
● Give characteristics of study participants in the full sample and stratified by levels of the
exposure
Paragraph 2: Exposure data
●Provide summary statistics for your exposure variable
Paragraph 3: Outcome data
● Provide summary statistics for your outcome variable
Paragraph 4: Main results
● Give unadjusted estimates and their precision (eg 95% confidence interval).
● Give results from statistical test used to assess association
SAS CODE
Attach your clean and annotated SAS code to your submission
● SAS code must run without errors
● SAS code must be annotated

1,You will be given a PowerPoint to write for all your REPORTS and I will also send you the PowerPoint presentation. Be sure to look at the report and the presentation carefully and confidently, it is very important to the writing of the report.
,2,In addition to this I will also send you a grading rubric for the REPORT and ask you to follow it ill write a very good REPORT.
3,I will also send you an example of a REPORT, but they are not related in any way. This sample will only give you an idea and a format for each section.
,4,I will also send you a REPORT with a different topic than mine to you, the data for this REPORT is different from mine. But you can borrow the idea of it, in which the part of Materials and Methods is very similar.
5,In this part of the introduction, there must be in-text citations.
6,In this part of Materials and Methods, you need to carefully look at the three websites I sent you, if you can’t open them, please contact me, thank you. You can learn from the other REPORT I sent you (not the model paper)
,7,Result This part is the most important! Please pay attention to this part, there are 6 figures in this part, which are Phylogenetic Profiling, Antimicrobial Resistance, Virulence, Pangenome Analysis, Plasmid Analysis in the ppt. The data in the report I sent you is not the same as the data in the report you wrote, so it can only give your ideas and formats in this part. Remember! This PART is very important, make sure you write these 6 FIGURES correctly. If you are not sure if this is correct, learn about it to make sure you can analyze these 6 FIGURES correctly.

I have this assignment due along with many others on 12/18/2023. Not only do I have no idea of what I am doing, I don’t have the time to figure it out. I am hoping that someone can help me. I have included the video instructions that we received from our instructor along with the materials need and a sample that was provided.

In Module 3, we learned about metabolism. For this assignment, you will create a deliverable of your choice (video or recorded slide presentation) that communicates the information below. See the attached handout to view resources that can assist you in creating some of these deliverables.
Create a deliverable that addresses the following:
Explain metabolic pathways.
State the first and second laws of thermodynamics.
Explain how ATP is used by the cell as an energy source.
Diagram how enzymes function in metabolism (can be presented with “a” above).
Compare the processes by which sugar is broken down, energy becomes chemical, and ATP generation.
Provide two (2) examples for each of the above.
Pictures and other graphics are welcome, but if they are not your own be sure to CITE where you found the information, possibly on a final slide for “References.”

Discussion Post 4: Phage Therapy
students are to make 1) a primary post and 2) a secondary post as follows: PLEASE INCLUDE SOURCES
1. Primary Post:
For the primary post, state your decision if you are for or against the use of Phage Therapy to treat bacterial diseases. Be sure to consider and state in your argument what some short and long-term positive effects and negative consequences of your decision are. Also, highlight the ethical issues between stakeholder rights. Examples of stakeholders to consider are: the patient, the health care industry, pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, scientific researchers, general population, etc.
2. Secondary Post:
After submitting your primary post, browse through the other students post, then:
1. Respond to a person that you agreed with their decision and state why you agreed with them.
2. Respond to a person that either made a different decision or presented a different reasoning than you. State whether you agree or disagree with their reasoning and why.
Respond person 1: Phages have the ability to target and kill bacteria. They have been shown to kill multi drug resistant bacteria. the phages are not alvie or dead becuase it is a virus. It does not enter the bacteria completely, it only injects its DNA in the bacteria killing the bacteria. They multiply very easily until the bacteria dies and lyses releases phages throughout the body. If bacteria tried to build immunity to phases, they would lose their resistance to antibiotics. The probem with the overuse of antibiotics to kill a bacteria will cause further harm to the human system killing off good bacteria and allowing for spores to go into a stress state allowing them to flourish like C-diff. They are also resistant to most treatment. There is no regulation on the use of phages which could also propose a problem.
I feel that if the use of phages gets studied by the FDA more, it could be a very useful treatment if all attempts have been made and failed. This can decrease the use of antibiotic use decreasing the risk of further illnesses and even decrease antibiotic resistance. Although it is dangerous right now becuase there is lack of study and regulation to this treatment, i think there is good promise for it to be successful and helpful to those in need after FDA approval and study.
Respond person 2: Bacteriophages are viruses found in soil, sewage, and other water sources that bacteria live in. They function naturally in our environment to keep balance. Bacteriophage therapy, or phage therapy, is a concept that has been around for several decades and is readily used in other countries to treat bacterial illness. The virus binds to a bacteria and injects its genes into the bacterial cell, which multiplies eventually causing them to burst. Once the bacteria is lysed and dies, the bacteriophage stops multiplying and can lay dormant until more bacteria show up. Currently this application is not approved for use in the USA. Since antibiotic use removes good bacteria from our microbiome which can lead to adverse side effects and also result in antibiotic resistant bacteria that cannot be treated, I feel it is worth considering. However, since little is known about its effectiveness or about potential unwanted effects, I feel that more clinical trials and additional research is necessary. I work in pediatrics and see antibiotic abuse daily. Despite our efforts as healthcare professionals to advise parents that their child is suffering from an acute viral illness, the pressure to give them antibiotics unnecessarily is unfortunately common. There was a point in the beginning of last year and slightly this fall that we could not find any pharmacies that had antibiotics in stock due to its overuse. As antibiotics are prescribed more, there is growing concern for antibiotic resistance and unavailability. Bacteriophages could be the solution to this problem, if we were to gain adequate knowledge.
