Introduction

The research program will emphasize research design, the methodology (sampling and data collection techniques), and analysis must also be described and justified.

Deep research will be necessary to establish the cause of problems that are facing the enterprise. As the General manager, reviewing the company’s records enough can not give me adequate knowledge about the company to come up with a revival plan for the company. I will therefore need to get specialists for the research. Principles of scientific research will include:

  • Truth. A scientist in research deals with the expansion of human knowledge of the world and a more understanding of its elements/ improvement of human ability in order to achieve humanity objectives or social acknowledgments. A hospitality/tourism enterprise is a service industry. This is a firm dealing directly with clients. These are human beings who need good treatment so that they can be guests once again. Research should be focused on what really happens within the entity as per the treatment of guests. No false information will be useful to the firm in making positive changes. If employees are not well generated through a proper reward system, this should be determined. This might the reason why they are not giving quality service in retaliation. It should be understood why this is the case and how the position can be changed. As the General Manager, the objective is to turn around the company so that efficiency, effectiveness in service delivery will be never as before to maximize returns at low cost and therefore enjoy economies of scale to the fullest.
  • Freedom. scientific research should enable people to carry out the process that they think is right as in a true democracy. Researchers should have access to all details of the company including all files. This will reveal any more complaints by the clients and will also determine whether funds for the enterprise have been misallocated, misappropriated, or misallocated. This could be why the improvement of service delivery has not been matched with technological advances. Investment in technology is very expensive and needs an adequate flow of funds. Clients could be running to the competitors due to a lack of computerization. In Hospitality/tourism enterprises computers with the Internet should be like in every room even if at an extra cost to ensure communication of the clients with the outside world. This might have lead to poor processing of transactions and more time could be being wasted in receiving receipts or there could be cases where transactions have not been properly recorded and clients may be dissatisfied with their change. He should be within restrictions to guard human nature, state of physical and mental health, self-respect, and liberty. The researcher should however consider the limits he encounters during research work because freedom cannot be to the extreme.
  • Responsibility. He is questionable due to effects on human lives, on human physical and mental health, welfare, dignity, and liberty. All the data that the researcher comes up with should be a true and fair view of the operations of the hospitality/tourism enterprise. He should come up with details that he can’t explain or data from sources that he can’t identify because at one point he will be required to give an explanation. As much as he has the freedom to research the company, he should understand that he is also questionable for information from the research.

The Body

Integrity; Data analysis is very crucial in this case where some clients have written complaints. The research should apply his wisdom to milk data from all relevant end reliable sources to determine exactly why the firm is doing badly. Other firms in the same industry are doing better. Its poor performance cannot be due to industry factors so the problem lies within the enterprise itself. Theories, experiments, and general views should be applied in coming up with conclusions as to what is needed from the research. Known theories of poor performance of hospitality enterprises should be applied and proved whether it is true during the research. The true and fair view should also be given honestly. The researcher should not biased in his data, he should carry out thorough research and get actual information about the company. He should not aim at collecting the only data that has to lead to the decline of business but should give credit where due as per the research.

  • Collaboration. The scientific researcher should be able to interact with all relevant people that will assist him in his research efforts. There should be a mutual understanding among all those involved so that the research indenting can be useful. Lack of collaboration limits the extent of research because some correspondents may not be willing to contribute.
  • Professionalism. The scientific researcher should employ his skills as per his ability and experience gained from other research. He should not only aim at representing data but should also consider the quality of his output that is the final report. Professionalism should be at all levels of the research to ensure that all details are obtained.

Theory, defining and stating the significance of the study is very necessary in order to determine exactly where the firm is going wrong. The theory part of the research should be identified and how practical this is will be employed during the research processes.
