Business leaders who can motivate workers and stay responsible for all corporation’s activities are crucial for creating a competitive organization. Lead managers of every company are becoming role models for their colleagues, and their strategic working plans influence the organization’s atmosphere. In the example of The Body Shop lead manager, the role of a leader includes such skills as communication, time management, and multitasking. To understand the process of leadership, it is important to analyze different role models. There can be defined four types of CSR strategists which are called ‘idealist’, ‘Integrator’, ‘Traditional economist’, and ‘opportunity seeker’. For instance, Tim Cook, one of the chief managers of Apple, can be considered a significant business leader who can motivate workers and influence their actions to make the work more efficient (Kim, 2020). Cook’s motivational strategy was aimed to have daily briefings and, without pressure, divide the tasks which should be done during the day. These meetings have a positive atmosphere where workers are not scared to express their ideas and help to develop Apple’s company. Consequently, this business leader has all characteristics to be defined as an ‘opportunity seeker’.
Stakeholders play a crucial part in every huge business which is striving to expand and develop its departments. The initial role of stakeholders is to provide financial support to help developing organizations stand out in the competition. With their help, business knows potential changes that might happen in the future, and they help create trust and the ability to plan strategically to achieve the best performance. One of the major stakeholder strategies can be close communication between managers and investors. When both sides know the current goals of a business, it is easier to achieve them in a short period of time. The outcomes of the collaboration of stakeholders and the organization’s managers might be diverse. It is important to balance morality, and confidence in future success and maintain a high level of prestige of the stakeholder activity. For example, businesses that want to achieve accomplishment usually make their strategies predictable, and the morality level of participants of the group, who take part in the development of strategic ideas, play a significant role as all people should be treated equally. Moreover, stakeholders can see potential positive changes, and they become interested in this organization’s investments.
Professional business leaders are trying to follow all the latest strategies and frameworks to make their corporations more innovative and advanced. The resource-Based View is one of the modern approaches which is oriented on the creation of unique details that other organizations cannot copy. There are two main resources of the Resource-Based View, which are called tangible and intangible assets. While tangible assets include physical objects like land and property, intangible assets are not referred to as objects which can be touched, like the reputation of organizations (Kull et al., 2016). The main mission of the Resource-Based View is to introduce to companies four main frameworks: valuable, rare, low imitability, and organized to capture value. Apple can be an example of an organization that follows the Resource-Based View strategy as it takes a huge percentage of the market and produces unique technical devices that other competitors cannot repeat.
Problems can always appear, and business leaders should understand the potential causes of these issues to find the right solutions. The toxic triangle helps to learn what negativities can exist in the working atmosphere. This idea consists of three main parts (Singh et al., 2018). The first is called toxic leaders, which says that leaders might sometimes be narcissistic and manipulative. The second part is known as susceptible followers, showing that workers might not receive enough motivation to do their work. Consequently, leading to low self-esteem and a decrease in ambitions. The last part of the toxic triangle is called conducive environment, which says that some companies do not have enough governance to control their business. Moreover, a lack of attention from business leaders causes instability. The Apple organization can be analyzed using a toxic triangle. Several years ago, sales went down due to unprofessional leaders, leading to motivation problems and massive dismissals. Consequently, the level of stability went down, causing uncertainties about the future.
