Program evaluation is basically an orderly approach of an individual to understand the structure of the program, its running and the outcome of the program. Then, by identifying these factors one can change them for getting better results. By identifying these career education programs each one can get the general idea of the program, its benefits and then can select the appropriate curriculum. Program evaluation is helpful in educational programs, business management etc.

“A career and technology education program shall provide competency-based, applied learning leading to both academic and occupational competencies through a coherent sequence of courses in which academic and career and technology education are integrated.” (Business Education Technology, 3, para.1).

There are mainly four components involved in a program evaluation. They are:

Purpose of evaluation

“The main purpose of the evaluation is to focus on the process of implementation rather than on its impact, since this would be minimal after such a short time, accessing in particular the participatory approaches used to identify project beneficiaries and the communities’ role in implementing and monitoring the project.” (Purpose of Evaluation).

Program evaluation always starts with a specific purpose. This can be done in two ways – one is by conducting general analysis and the other is by collecting data based on that specific objective. By aiming for a specific goal, evaluation becomes more perfect and will get a better outcome compared to the preceding evaluation.

Explanation of the evaluation

Collect the details required for our evaluation and make a detailed report of the collected data. Program Improvement Process

The responsible authorities will be requested to list out an action plan according to priority and consider the highest priority one and take necessary actions for improving those areas based on the report.
