Introduction

Life within a small community is both challenging and exciting, with a rigid set of traditions typically making it difficult for innovative ideas to reach its members, yet the emotional support and the sense of unity being the source of internal strength. However, once the community expands and embraces opportunities for evolution, the threat of losing its roots and unity within it emerges. As a member of the Bedouin community, which has nearly disintegrated and diluted itself in a broader environment, I feel that I am losing the connection with my peers.

Main body

On the one hand, the pace of progress has been quite fast, which has resulted in better education, living conditions, and communication. On the other hand, both my friends and I have been feeling quite distanced from Bedouin traditions and culture. Nonetheless, there is the evident willingness to sustain our legacy and history, with the focus on the cultural values, unique philosophy, and the related traditions that make the Bedouin culture distinctively different from other ones.

Even at its current state, with the threat of losing its historical roots becoming increasingly more tangible, my community remains the source of strength and support. What I particularly like about it is the focus on education. Learning is an essential process that takes an entire lifetime and allows one to become wiser, develop new skills, and build new social connections, embracing diversity (Chun and Evans 47). The focus on conservative ideas, in turn, allows people to remember their legacy and values, which is another thing that I appreciate about my community. However, there are also certain problems, such as gender inequality, which delays the development of the community, and the tribal system, which dilutes the sense of unity.

Conclusion

By embracing the idea of equality and introducing it to the realm of social interactions, the legal system, and other domains, my Bedouin community will benefit significantly. At the same time, it is important to remember the foundational values and core principles based on which the |Bedouin community was built in order to retain our legacy. Thus, my community will thrive, and its members will receive the support that they need.
