AID Atlanta

This organization has been bettering and changing lives from its initiation in 1982. AID Atlanta was started as a reaction to the destructive and deadly effect of HIV/AIDS on the Atlanta population (About AID Atlanta, 2014). The human services organization swiftly started expanding to provide a wide scope of services and is currently the oldest, biggest, and most inclusive AIDS agency in the Southeast. The mission of the organization is to decrease the new HIV transmissions and better the quality of existence of its members and the society through removing hindrances and empowering the people. The organization offers services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS as well as their loved ones via volunteer support, medical services, accommodation, and education assistance, just to mention a few.

The case management plan of foundation of AID Atlanta backs the community, and clients are offered services such as Women in Partnership and Street Home. The organization has more than ten education programs to enlighten the people concerning HIV/AIDS (About AID Atlanta, 2014). Helping people living with HIV/AIDS by providing care and treatment assists them in staying healthy, protecting others, and enjoying longer, better lives (LeRoux, 2009). The triumph of AID Atlanta is evident through eighty-three percent of members with viral loads below extents of identification. Offering services to the people who are greatly in need, the ones that are uninsured or underinsured, AID Atlanta provides primary health care in a setting where the caregivers and patients work together to generate inclusive plans to attain and retain optimal health.

One stakeholder related to AID Atlanta is For the Kid in All of Us. For the Kid in All of Us has given out over 41,000 toys and cards, over 11,000 packsacks with school items, and sought more than $470,000 to give to different human service organizations in Georgia. In 2014, For the Kid in All of Us supported about twenty organizations that offer care, suitable surroundings, school items, and moral support to the less fortunate (Patti, 2008). Another stakeholder associated with AID Atlanta is Georgia Tech, which is a public university located in Georgia. Georgia Tech is amid the best research schools in the United States, marked by its dedication to bettering the human circumstances via enhanced science and expertise.

Value and Influence of the Stakeholders

Amid other stakeholders, For the Kid in All of Us and Georgia Tech, use their skills, time, resources, and understanding to ensure the success of AID Atlanta (Eshel et al., 2008). The stakeholders embark on different tasks, and their degree of involvement differs from full-time to occasional support (Razali & Anwar, 2011). For instance, in November 2014, Georgia Tech hosted an annual race in support of AID Atlanta. After making registration for the race, the participants received breakfast, T-shirts, and other fun activities, and the money obtained from the race was donated to AID Atlanta. While appreciating the contribution of stakeholders to its success, AID Atlanta affirmed that it was grateful to announce that the stakeholders had ensured the betterment of the lives of the underprivileged in a bid to bring joy to their existence (Harwood, Humby, & Harwood, 2011). For the Kid in All of Us and Georgia Tech were among the mentioned stakeholders. Apart from monetary support, For the Kid in All of Us had greatly backed the toy drive endeavors of AID Atlanta.
