After the Final Research Projects are posted, you can complete your final assign

After the Final Research Projects are posted, you can complete your final assignment for the class: the Student Peer Review (worth 10% of your final grade).
You will review the Research Project of the person ‘following’ you alphabetically on our Discussion Board. For example, the student at the ‘top’ of the NAMES will review the next student down in the alphabet. Conversely, the last student under the NAMES will write a Student Peer Review of the first student under the NAMES on our Discussion Board.
Student Peer Review  (1 page)  10%
The Student Peer Review will be approximately 1-page long and your role is to critically review your person’s Final Research Project logically (not emotionally). You will thoughtfully review the paper’s sections (listed below) and will comment on how well they were (or were not) able to answer their research question(s).
You will offer suggestions for the ways in which you think that person could improve their Research Project as if they had a year to work on the project and endless funding.
Obviously, your Student Peer Review will NOT be taken personally by the person whose Research Project you are reviewing! However, your ability to think through the research process critically will be taken seriously by me.
Thanks!
STEP 1:
Title page – Is the Research Project’s title clear and appropriate for the research project?
“Introduction” – Is the Intro 2-3 paragraphs? Does it introduce the paper well? Does it include the Research Question?
“Research Method(s)” – Is the Research Method(s) appropriate for the research question? Is there a better or alternative research method(s) for this research question that you suggest?
“Theoretical Approach” – Is the theoretical approach appropriate for this topic? Does the researcher clearly explain their theoretical approach?
“Literature Review” – Does the Literature Review create an appropriate context for the research project by providing and explaining enough current related studies to sufficiently create a clear background of the current research in the area?
STEP 2:
“Raw Data” – Is the data clear in the paper? Has it been appropriately collected?
STEP 3:
“Data Analysis” – Has the author of the Research Project put their data findings in the context of their literature review and their theory? Do they appropriately explain their research findings in light of their literature review and theoretical approach?
“Conclusion” – Does the Conclusion appropriately summarize their Research Project?
“Limitations” – Are the limitations of the research project clearly spelled out?
“Public Policy Implications” – Does the researcher point out what implications their research findings may have on current public policy and ways to make improvement(s)?
“Future Research” – Does the researcher point out what future research needs to be done in their research area based on the findings of their study?
