Next, compose a pitch for a new exhibit featuring your chosen 6 works of art. The following will guide you through ideating and structuring your pitch to be engaging and effective.

Creative ideas, whether for a new business or a new movie, are motivated by curiosity and emotion. When developing your pitch, consider which aspects of your selected artworks (or art in general) you have the most questions about or personal interest in investigating further. This might be a medium such as sculpture or textiles, or maybe a topic such as the role of religion in art, or the roles of artists or women in a culture that appeals most to you. Inject those curiosities and emotions into the following pitch template:

The first thing you need to know is [Tell us an intriguing discovery that will pull us in]
The choices of artworks in my exhibition will [Tell us what we will be seeing and learning, what the artworks will reveal to us in two or three sentences. List all 6 artworks. Include an idea about your topic—the thesis this exhibition will prove to us in a visual way. This can be a bulleted list]

Include 3 scholarly resources.
