5Display Slide 2, open the Reuse Slides pane, and then from your downloaded files browse for and display the presentation p01G_Slides.pptx. If necessary, clear the Keep source formatting check box, and then insert the last two slides.
Note, Mac users, after importing the slides, delete Slide 3-Alaska Slides.

6Display Slide 2. In either the slide pane or in the slide outline, position the insertion point at the end of the first bullet point after the word time. Press SPACEBAR. Add the words for viewing and then in the same slide, increase the list level of the second and third bullet points.

7With Slide 2 still displayed, select the title and change the Font Size to 32. In the Notes pane, type the following notes: The lights reach their peak in September and March. Be sure to type the period at the end of the sentence.

8Display Slide 3. Select the paragraph of text, and then change the Font Color to in the last column, the third color. Change the Font Size to 16, and then apply Bold.

9In the same paragraph, change the Line Spacing to 1.5, and then center the paragraph and the slide title.

10With Slide 3 still displayed, format the picture with the Soft Edge Rectangle picture style and the Marker artistic effect.

11Display Slide 4. In the content placeholder on the right, from your downloaded files, insert the picture p01G_Lights.jpg. Apply the Reflected Rounded Rectangle picture style.

14Apply the Uncover transition and change the Effect Options to From Top. Change the Timing by increasing the Duration to 01.25. Apply the transition effect to all of the slides.

15Insert a Header & Footer on the Notes and Handouts. Include the Date and time updated automatically, the Page number, a Footer with the text 1G_Northern_Lights and then apply to all the slides.

16Display the Document Properties. Type northern lights, Fairbanks as the Tags.

2On Slide 2, remove the bullet symbol from the paragraph, and then Center the paragraph.

3With the content placeholder selected, display the Shape Styles gallery, and then apply the Subtle Effect – Blue-Gray, Accent 5 style–the fourth row, sixth style. Apply the Round Convex beveled shape effect to the placeholder.
Note—this may be named Art Deco on your system.

4On Slide 3, apply Numbering to the first-level bullet points—Intensity, Hang Time, and Last Chance. Change all of the second-level bullets to Star Bullets, and then change the bullet color to under Theme Colors, in the fifth column, the fourth color.

5On Slide 3, select the title. Using the Eyedropper, select the light blue color of the sky at the right side of the picture and change the font color of the title. On Slide 1, apply the same light blue color to the slide title.

6On Slide 3, apply the Glow: 5 point; Aqua, Accent color 2 picture effect to the picture.

7On Slide 4, insert an Online Picture by searching for roller coaster and then insert a picture of people riding a roller coaster. Crop the picture by dragging the crop handles so that it’s roughly square in shape.
Note, select any additional text boxes that may display when the image is inserted, and then press DELETE. Compress the online picture once it is inserted. To compress the picture, select it and then click or press the Picture Format tab. In the Adjust group, click or press the Compress Pictures button. If you do not have the Online Pictures option, conduct the search in your Web browser and insert an appropriate picture.

8Align the upper left corner of the picture with the top left corner of the slide, and then change the Height to 3.5 Modify the Picture Effect by applying a 50 Point Soft Edges effect.

9Duplicate the picture, and then use the Align to Slide option to align the pictures with the left edge of the slide and to distribute the pictures vertically.

10Insert a Text Box aligned with the horizontal ruler at 0 inches and with the lower half of the vertical ruler at 2.5 inch. In the text box, type Starting Summer 2025! Change the Font Size to 28. Change the Shape Fill to, under Theme Colors, the sixth color in the last column.

11Select the title and the text box, and then, using the Align Selected Objects option, apply Align Right alignment.
