for ten years, and now they want to share their passion for vegan food with
Winnipeggers. They have hired you to help them with communication as neither Jane or
Bob like computers or social media. Since they want to make sure people hear about
their business, they know they need to get their message out there—that’s where you
come in. Here are the tasks they have assigned you to complete:
Task 1: Announcement (350-500 words)
Prepare an announcement for the Vegan Street Bites Facebook page. Although the
truck has yet to serve it’s first customer, the Facebook page has over 5,879 active
followers. Your goal here is to get people excited about the launch.
Task 2: Press Announcement Email (350-500 words)
Prepare an email to send to local media companies, to announce the opening of Vegan
Street Bites. Although some of the information will be the same as your Facebook post
(e.g., launch date, etc.), this email is a different audience, and you have a different
purpose. Your purpose here is to create “buzz” about the new truck, plus you want as
much free advertising as possible!
Task 3: Sponsorship Email (350-500 words)
Prepare an email to send to Vegan Street Bites’ food and beverage suppliers. You want
to make them aware of your launch date, and you also want to persuade them to
