Each student will indicate in their paper which areas (see Roman Numerals on the health topic page) they are covering as Headers {APA format headers in the papers). See the rubric for this number 1 question attached.
The topic is Diabetes Mellitus, and my area to cover is the 3 below
I. Definitions
II. Etiology
III. Characteristics (signs & symptoms)
The student will list these as headers in their paper and then provide the information pertaining to each of the headers in their paper. The paper is required to be written in APA format, including the title page. Additional requirements for the individual paper are listed below
: ● Provide at least 2-3 reference sources and cite them correctly in the body of the paper and on the reference page in APA format.
● The body of the paper, including the title page and header, must be written/typed in the APA format
. ● The student must clearly indicate and explain the most important variables or factors that influenced health issues in their assigned areas

I. Definition- The student clearly defines the disease and explains the disease process. Students explain how the process invades and affects the body. Gives a physiologic explanation for the disease.
II. Etiology- Student adequately explores the known or presumed causes/s of the disease or health condition.
III. Characteristics-Students describe signs and symptoms of the disorder. If the condition varies in severity, students will explain the differences in severity. If the disease (such as cancer) is categorized by Stages, the student will differentiate between stages. Students will discuss why these signs and symptoms occur and how they are measured or tested.
