How do we know when the pandemic is over? Which experts should be in charge of making this evaluation? What benchmarks should they use? What does life look like for the average person when the pandemic is over? Did society undergo any significant changes during the pandemic that are evident when it is done?

Your policy brief should accomplish the following:
Clearly state YOUR criteria for deciding when the pandemic is over.
Give examples from class showing why your chosen criteria are appropriate. (Through the sources uploaded)
Make clear recommendations for public health officials or politicians about why they should adopt your criteria and what they should do about it. This may include instituting specific public policies, funding particular services, establishing or renewing public health rules, making long-term preparations or infrastructure investments for future public health problems, or other steps.
Make sure your recommendations take into account any relevant changes and experiences people have gone through during the COVID-19 pandemic.
