Big data refers to a type of set of information that requires memory beyond the capacity of the conventional relational databases. The nature of such an assortment of information makes it difficult for ordering to allow easy capture, access, administration, and updates. Traditional databases do not permit one to record, run and process any low-latency high volumes of materials. An example of big data includes the statistics that is utilized on databases of social media sites such as Facebook each day. This large bulk of information arises from the photos, videos, and messages that are shared across the platforms.
