The textbook presents an idea regarding the necessity of the constant promotion of faith during childhood. I firmly believe that it is crucial to open ones heart to God early on, as it will serve as a strong foundation for morality in the future. To ensure that a child receives a proper example, parents must employ a multitude of methods that will encourage further exploration of the concepts of God, beliefs, and morals. Spiritual development at this age can be promoted by a leading example, such as a good deed and moral behavior (Cashion, 2019). In my experience, daily rituals, even simple regular prayers, have a substantial impact on a childs perception of faith and its importance. Moreover, this period is linked with constant questioning, which can not be ignored, and replies must be sufficient for a child who will otherwise seek the answers elsewhere (Cashion, 2019). While it might be challenging to explain faith to a child, it is necessary to create a basis for it early on.

It is essential to pay significant attention to the childs spiritual development throughout childhood, as it will set him or her on a path that will sustain his or her faith in the future. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (King James Bible, 1769/2010, Proverbs 22:6). Moreover, the Bible can provide help with that matter, as many verses can help parents to teach their children the right way even when it might be challenging to find a proper approach (Cashion, 2019). In conclusion, a childs path to faith requires significant input from parents, but it is a rewarding process.
