You will come up with a new solution to a process/experience problem of your choice. Choose a problem that you are familiar with where you have been the actor. You will do the Problem Definition (Actor, Use Case, Actor Truth, and Initial Problem Statement).
Next, you will map out the process steps involved, figure out:
Customer Economics – Lifetime value.
apply design thinking principles to the process – Empathize and get in the actors shoes. Think about what the actors feel.
Define the Problem – center on what the people feel. This is similar to the Actor Truth but get more into how people are feeling during the actual process and UPDATE THE PROBLEM STATEMENT AGAIN (important).
Ideate – challenge assumptions and create ideas and BUILD A PROTOTYPE (the prototype can for instance be the layout of a UX interface).
Try the solution out.
After this, redefine the problem as needed (the solution may be lacking or better in areas that you did not expect)
After coming up with a better solution, then apply it to a company along the “3 Steps to Market-Driven Digital Transformation” article framework (ATTACHEMENT 1). Interpret Market Forces, Ensure Digital Commitment, Execute at the right speed. Choose any company that could use your solution.
ATTACHEMENT 1 (3 Steps to Market-Driven Digital Transformation): Explains the 3 steps you are supposed to use when applying the solution to a company.
ATTACHEMENT 2 (The Purpose of Digital Transformation): Explains the process and purpose of digital transformation which are to be used in this case, particularly page 3: “DX PURPOSE AND INSIGHT”.
