There are still many countries that getting involved in war. Millions of people are killing each other because of many reasons, like race, religion, and confrontation with government. Most of the war would be one-way attack, but you may hear the news about suicide attacks these days especially about ISIS, but the Middle East isn’t the only area that has had attacks like these. Japan also happened in 70 years ago, kamikaze attacks. Kamikaze, means “divine wind” or “spirit attack” in Japanese. The kamikaze attacks were a part of the Japanese Special Attack Units of military aircraft that originated modern suicide attacks for the Empire of Japan during World War Two. They carried a bomb on their body to attack enemy ships. Some people say, kamikaze and terrorist attacks are equal that kill tons of people, but I believe that kamikaze attack is not the same as the attack of a terrorist.

There are a number of reasons that show kamikaze attacks are not like a terrorist. First, in 2015, ISIL’s terrorist attacked Paris and they spread fear through France. They killed a number of people by bombing attacks. Additionally, the local news station broadcasted that they had a kamikaze attacks from terrorist. However, kamikaze attacks didn’t hurt or kill regular people. The damage due to the attacks, there are massive difference between kamikaze and terrorist attacks. Secondly, the purpose of the attack between terrorist and kamikaze are not resemble. Terrorist attacks people to show off their power or significance of existence. They try to kill as many normal citizens they can, but kamikaze don’t. They fight with their opponents to protect the land and their family. On that evidence, final letters of kamikaze pilots does not say anything about cursed words for Americans. They just worried about their family.

‘Dear Mother and Father, Brother and Sister,

End of autumn. The backyard must be filled with the cries of insects, as it is every year around this time. My heart is full to bursting with memories of the many evenings we spent talking together. I suppose you are all somewhat concerned about how I’m doing.

During my visit home in May, Sister said to me, “Ever since you joined up, Mother has been setting meals before your photograph. She’s given up drinking tea, and every evening she visits the shrine to pray for you.” I was so moved that I was unable to thank her. Mother really wore herself out at the farewell party the night before I left to join my unit. She was so busy preparing for my departure that she didn’t sleep at all the night before.

And on my sun flag, she wrote HAPPILY WAITING FOR A RETURNING CHILD. Whenever I can, I gaze at those four noble characters for the nourishment they give my soul. The fighting has become extremely intense, and there is no guarantee of my safe return. The image of all those poor school kids and everyone else singing war songs and waving a sea of flags as they saw us off to the front is burned indelibly into my mind. I firmly believe in the benevolence of the Emperor and of our parents. Mother seems to be growing weaker by the day. Brother and Sister, you will have to give her the love that I cannot.

Please forgive my impiety; I pray for the continued good health of you all. The three photo albums I sent the other day are keepsakes for Brother and Sister. Please don’t worry about me. When you hear of my death, be happy for me, for I will have achieved my ambition. Last Letters of Kamikaze Pilots.(2001) Manoa 13 (1). 120-123. “Final Letters of Kamikaze Pilots” (Chris Kincaid, 22 May 2016, https://www.japanpowered.com/history/final-letters-of-kamikaze-pilots).

However, there is only one thing that is similar to attack of terrorist which is the soldiers are being manipulated. Their heads educate children to die for their countries or their beliefs. Most of the pilots were young men. The most of the soldiers were teenagers. During World War Two, misguided Japanese military leaders recruited young talented soldiers for battle, yet they are still adults that make youth life send to the battlefield. I think that they are using them for decoy to put off their guard. They are not useful tools for grownups. They have a will. They have an emotions. They have a life. Young people, pure of mind, would follow their orders because they believe that what they say is correct. I believe that all people have a chance to choose their own options. No matter what nobody should try to control people or make hurt another person. Indeed, kamikaze and terrorist attacks are not the same because of the damage that they make and love to their family, yet human beings are still repeating the same mistakes. The world might be unable to quit fighting, but I wonder when can we stop killing each other.
