Introduction

The world today is more and more updating not just the way of living but also technology. It is becoming more dependent on the involvement, improvement, and higher quality and standards of society when it comes to technology. As the world continues to embrace technology’s advancement, people’s attitude changes and is continuing to change even more In order to fit and adapt to society’s adjustments. As it continues upgrading itself in association with its vigorous advancement, cases of pornography also accentuate and accelerate.

Advancement of technology greatly affects the rush attack of the puberty stage of teenagers, because it creates and yields drastic changes in their life. In this stage teenagers, curiosity boosts and accelerates to the highest extent, and because of it, they sought information to fulfill the new excitement inside them that didn’t exist before. Instead of asking for information from parents, friends, family members and etc. the sad reality is that they turn to pick and choose the internet ( Katchaties 2011)

Pornography refers to visual material or representations that depict naked people and/or sexual acts designed to cause sexual excitement, sexual arousal, or sexual pleasure to the individual who reads, sees, hears, and handles it. It can be seen in magazines, movies, videos, and many more. It aims to generate sexual provocation because it holds specific images or descriptions of sexual acts involving genitals ( eq. vaginal or intercourse, oral sex, anal sex, masturbation and etc. ) ( Reid and Colleges 2011). Pornography is derived from Greek porn “prostitute” and graphein “to write” was originally defined as any work of art or literature depicting the life of prostitutes (http://.www.britanica.com/topic/pornography).

Pornography in accordance with technology can be viewed all over the world. Its ever-increasing presence in the daily lives of individuals has meant that the rapid spread of porn is now alarming. Recent studies made by the world’s largest porn site claimed that by 2017, a daily average of 75 million unique viewers are viewing porn.

Thomsen (2007) states that pornography is a multi-billion industry that is so influential and powerful and it drives the direction of much media technology. According to the report every second more than 28 thousand-internet users are viewing pornography.

Pornography displays a world where relationships mean nothing and instant sexual pleasure means everything. Viewers of pornography thought that relationships and sex were separate from each other. Viewers also think that men’s and women’s bodies should be sexually exaggerated or stretched when in porn leading to shame and failure to be aroused by the bodies of others ( Katehafis 2011).

Alexandra Katechakis (2011) states that the brain of pornography is shaped around its sexual experience when watching porn that is isolating completely bad and inappropriate, completely, separate from any love or compassion. This happening can result in sexual problems such as sexual compulsivity and sex addiction.

Of the teenagers around the world, boys are the most affected individual than girls when it comes to pornography. Boys are more vulnerable to pornography’s inevitable effects. Recent studies state that in the United States, 79% of men aged 18-30, view porn at least monthly. Lion and winter (2011) found that 64% of children between 13 and 17 years had been exposed to porn through the internet and male youth mention curiosity, relief from boredom or acquisition of sexual skills, and experience of sexual arousal or pleasure for viewing pornography or its main reasons. Another research shows that on average, American boys’ first exposure to porn happens when they are only 12 years old. Before reaching 18,90% of boys and only 60% of girls have seen porn online (middle-earth 2016).

Pornography changes every habit of an individual, not just the body and mind but also the inner private self or what is called emotions and new building urges that are becoming habits that may cause desensitization, boredom, distorted views of reality, objectification of women, increasing the risk for significant physical and mental health problems and a greater likelihood committing a sex–based crime. Pornography as a visual representation of sexuality bends individuals’ concept of sexual relations by objectifying it which modifies attitudes and behavior making it a major threat to marriage, family, children, and individual happiness. Men who habitually look at and watch pornography have a higher tolerance for abnormal sexual behavior, sexual aggression, promiscuity, and even rape. Men begin to view women and children as sex “objects” instruments for pleasure not as people with their own inherent dignity (Http://www.marripedia.org/effects_of_pornography).

Addictive pornography use leads to lower self-esteem and weakened one’s ability to have, experience to be contented with a meaningful social and work life. Porn addicts experienced stress, anxiety, and compulsiveness because of the addiction that arouses inside that they can’t control. This behavior often affects not just personal life but also work.

People tend to view pornography to anticipate and learn some benefits from the addiction even if it is harmful. These are the benefits to people who watch porn; Pornography can reduce, lessen, and discount stress, can comfort, and cheer not to the bored, it can give pleasurable sensations, cope with negative feelings or situations, or simply the benefit of avoiding withdrawal symptoms.

The advantages of watching porn are: don’t have to pay for dates on the side just click Pornhub and watch it for free, pornography is also a substitution for sex, and sex grabs the whole, undivided attention of the senses when doing sex the attention (whole) is in there. It can be very meditative and help unwind after a hectic day at work, immersing oneself in someone’s action while experiencing pleasure. Time flies by and while doing the deed the feeling of sincerity and the body and mind suffer feeling away from pressure and stress and gives a chill and converted feeling ( http://www.mandatory.com/living/1246025-is-porn-bad-for-you-advantages-and-disadvantages-of-watching-it).

Porn has positive and negative effects on viewer’s life. It has the causes of or reason while people watch it and it has different effects on every aspect of an individual’s life, especially behavior. It has also advantages and disadvantages depending on the viewers how react to the situation. So when ask if pornography is bad it is answered “it depends upon the circumstances”. So the researcher chooses and come up with this study to know and to learn ment situation of G-10, G-11, and G-12 viewers of pornography, how they behave, react and find solutions if ever there is something that needed physiological treatment.
