A musical band is usually defined as a group of people engaged in common creativity aimed at creating songs and musical compositions. The desire to play, create something new, or perform on stage in front of happy fans – all these qualities are important for a musician who has joined the band. However, a band is primarily a group of people, where such qualities as morale and leadership, encouragement, dedication and commitment come to the fore. These are these qualities that can make a band or break it depending on whether musicians have them or not.

Morale is essential in every musical setting as a factor that allows to create psychological comfort for all members of the band. Indeed, since members of the band spend a lot of time together, disagreements become an integral part of work. Morale helps to reconcile different views and resolve conflicts whenever they arise. Playing in a band often presupposes creation of music and songs, a process that needs guidance and leadership. A leader must incorporate the ideas of all group members into a single whole with the result that will be liked by all musicians and public as well.

Musicians who have been performing together for a long time and whose playing is said to be well-coordinated, spend a lot of time at joint rehearsals. This means that they have their own their own musical touches and habits such as speeding up and slowing down the tempo, increasing the power of sound and much more. In a collective game, all these nuances can both spoil the whole work and lead to disharmony, and make it sound better and more original (Baym, 2018). Sometimes it takes a lot of time to coordinate personal nuances of playing within a group. That is why encouragement is needed to let musicians know they are doing well and not to give up. Finally, the most important and remains the desire to work, dedication and commitment as these skills allow musicians to learn the necessary parts for days and hone their skills to perfection.
