To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the most famous and infamous American novels written in 1960 by Harper Lee. The work deals with a variety of subject matter, including racism, justice, crime, gender relations and many others. Having contained a number of difficult subjects as its main focus, the book has had a storied history.
