The information that a medical specialist has is of particular value. Thus, many medical professionals face the problem of disclosing data about a terminal diagnosis. The importance of this issue is that it pursues the ethical side of the problem, which may affect the patient’s attitude. Thus, this work considers whether it is worth telling a piece of individual information about the disease if it can seriously affect their spirit.

I believe the concealment of information about terminal diseases must be provided to the patient. Even though this may affect the condition of individuals, it is necessary to fully understand the existing problem. I believe that this kind of knowledge should be provided to the patient, not only concerning medical ethics but also to provide awareness of how important it is to treat a deviation. Moreover, it is worth emphasizing that this issue directly concerns the ethical side and pillars, such as justice to the patient, of the activities of a medical specialist.

Thus, on the one hand, hiding information about the patient can provide peace of mind to them. It may be needed to carry out a smoother process of treating the disease because the individual will be more content (Runciman & Walton, 2017). On the other hand, providing information about the completeness of the problem is necessary to create a more sober view of the problem (Varkey, 2021). In addition, it can motivate a person to take action to get rid of the deviation. In other words, this solution’s benefit is providing full awareness about the faced issue.

In conclusion, this work considered the problem of disclosing information to patients about a serious terminal disease from the ethical side. This problem has two sides that can be considered by the medical specialists. Hence, on the one hand, it is important to tell individuals about the presence of the disease in order to create a sober and conscious view of the issue, which requires an immediate solution. On the other hand, hiding information can provide peace of mind to people and preserve their mental state. I believe that it is necessary, to be honest with patients and provide them with all the data about the disease and ways to resolve it.
