Introduction

Often, people do not prioritize healthy lifestyle habits and factors that are proven to make them sick. Essentially, a healthy lifestyle is about personal choices to adopt simple routines such as balancing water intake and sleep behaviors. Healthy lifestyle choices influence multiple health factors; therefore, everyone ought to undertake a critical responsibility. This speech addresses the benefits of staying hydrated for your well-being, efficiency, and productivity, as well as healthy sleeping habits. The correct water consumption and sleep hygiene practices, which will be covered in the essay, are vital to maintaining a high quality of human life.

Body

First, I will discuss that safe and sufficient water facilitates the practice of hygiene and well-being and is a critical determining factor for health. An article from Medical News Today reported that most people do not consume enough water needed for optimal metabolism and body function (Cross, 2018). Water is crucial for multiple aspects of life, including but not limited to metabolism, temperature regulation, detoxification, and hormonal regulation. Harvard Health determined that at least four to six cups of water consumed daily is appropriate for adult hydration (Harvard Health, 2022). It is crucial to acknowledge that around sixty percent of the human body is a water component, influencing its functioning (Harvard Health, 2022). For these reasons, it is critical to inform people about the benefits of using sufficient water.

Because the importance of water consumption was highlighted, the next question is which aspects of the human body it influences the most? As a result of the high hydro component in the body, water affects many aspects of the human anatomy and function. In the blood, water is salient to stabilize blood pressure and transport nutrients while regulating temperatures in all body organs (Harvard Health, 2022). Moreover, hydration is key to detoxification by flushing metabolic wastes through sweating (Porter, 2022). Because many factors influence the body’s function, the next part of my speech is about the importance of sleep hygiene practices.

I want emphasize, that everyone can benefit from implementing good sleep hygiene practices. Like water intake, sleep hygiene can enhance our productivity, general quality of life, and mental and physical well-being. The youth demographic perceives the highest cost of sleep deprivation due to social media and digital technology, among other factors (Dragun et al., 2020). A study by the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) indicates that healthy sleeping hygiene is determined by sleep duration and bedroom environment, patterns, and consistency. Practicing healthy sleep hygiene will guarantee better productivity, quality of life, and mental and physical well-being.

Conclusion

It is essential for you to know, that, ultimately, balancing water intake and sleep patterns is a daily life necessity whatsoever. Beforehand evidence is convincing that our quality of life and health is based on our personal choices. In this speech, I have addressed the benefits of staying hydrated for your well-being, efficiency, and productivity, as well as healthy sleeping habits. To conclude, it has been an honor to be among such accomplished individuals, and I hope the deduced information is useful to prioritize healthy lifestyle habits.
