Arnold Palmer Hospital project is a life-changing initiative that will provide local community members with comfortable conditions in healthcare. The members of the project team should involve a person responsible for business development, which is Karl Hodges (Javier Couto, 2012). This person will be responsible for funding and regulatory issues. Other members of the project team will be the executive director and director of the facilities department. These positions will allow the employees to curate the process and construction. Lastly, the staff should additionally partake in the project development. As was mentioned, participants of staff will allow them to feel that they are “a part of the process” (Javier Couto, 2012, 5.40). The quality of care will depend on the convenience of equipment and building structure.
As for the key stakeholders in the given project, these should first include employees since they will allow the business to function properly. As has been mentioned, there will be 35 unit groups, including nurses, doctors, child-life staff, therapists, social and nutrition workers, and budget teams (Javier Couto, 2012). Then, other key stakeholders are construction and architecture companies since they will directly build and design the facility. Lastly, patients and the community will be stakeholders in the given project since they will be treated. Regarding project sponsors, these might either individual sponsors who would like to contribute to the growth of the community. Aside from this, there are public programs, such as hospital partnerships, that aim to promote and provide funding to healthcare projects.
Finally, there are several risks to the project that namely involve financial and regulatory issues. First, as it has been mentioned, the stakeholders will have to endure “increases in supply costs and labor costs” (Javier Couto, 2012, 3.28). However, this can be resolved through a state grant. Moreover, another issue is the one concerning funding and regulatory issues since the company has to “stay on time and within budget” (Javier Couto, 2012, 6.31). In this sense, it might be rational to appoint a team of administrators to oversee the budget and construction development. Therefore, for the project of this size, the project will have to face certain issues and address stakeholder requirements.
