In the early 1800s, the Amerithe can Bison thrived in the Great Plains. However, they almost became exthe tinct due to inappropriate human actions and extreme environmental conditions.

This reality necessitated urgent measures that sought to conserve and propagate their existence (Macpherson 16). This research undertaking seeks to contextualize the depletion of the American Bison. It will achieve this objective through an elaborate foray into economic principles and their relevance in this scenario.

In most cases, there are different categories of goods that exist in diverse contexts. Such goods play an important role in sustenance and propagation of value with regard to customers’ needs (Macpherson 16). Goods involve sharing and fair use to guarantee the realization of value and relevance among users. The first category involves goods that degenerate because of the use and application with regard to human needs.

Such goods require collective oversight in order to ensure their preservation (Macpherson 16). The second category embodies goods that occur naturally devoid of deliberate human efforts. However, preservation of such goods depends on human ability to sustain their reproduction. Human beings have a duty to protect such resources in order to guarantee their presence in the market.

The third level of goods includes those that divide due to utilization in the market (Rangel and Fehr 26). Such goods emanate from human efforts and initiatives in the industrial context. The fourth category involves goods that replicate as they satisfy needs in the market.

Such goods are important because they multiply and ultimately guarantee a sufficient supply in the value chain. However, human beings must make a conscious choice to conserve and protect such resources (Macpherson 16).

The American Bison fits in the second category because their occurrence and propagation are natural and devoid of deliberate human effort. They occur as natural resources and do not require human efforts in order to guarantee their existence. However, their sustenance depends on the human ability to conserve and protect natural habitats (Kagel 27).

The near extinction of the American Bison emanated from human ineptitude with regard to conservation and other related areas of interest. Due to practices such as poaching, the American Bison could not sustain favorable numbers in the ecosystem. This necessitated conservation measures that sought to preserve and support their existence in the ecosystem (Kagel 27).

Private property rights play an important role in ensuring protection and sustenance of resources in contemporary society. They establish measures that guide the utilization of resources in diverse contexts. Such oversight creates the impetus for conservation and ultimate replication of resources.

This forestalls situations that lead to depletion of vital resources. However, private property rights were not effective in protecting the American Bison. The Bison belongs to a category that does not suffice with regard to private property rights. However, current provisions cater for natural resources such as the American Bison.

The government has an important role to play in protecting the American Bison. It should formulate laws that compel people to conserve resources in order to guarantee propagation (Liberman and Yaacov 18).

The government should also establish sanctuaries that enhance the aforementioned conservation efforts. It is important for authorities to sensitize people on the importance of conserving the American Bison. This should materialize through collaborative efforts between government and citizens. The above efforts are necessary to guarantee the preservation of the American Bison (Liberman and Yaacov 18).
