If we talk about children with multiple exceptionalities it means that they exist. And the first one who discovered the problem of such children was a very shrewd and courageous person. As to find out this very exceptionality is not an easy thing to do but in any case possible. The burning point is how to help such children and make them reach the most in their lives. The topic of exceptionality is one of the most discussed in our contemporary society with high technological and time – saving achievements. To define the term of exceptionality, we stick to the point of researchers who consider ‘multiply exceptional’ people as those who are highly able and who also have a disability, sensory impairment or learning problem (“Children with Multiple Exceptionalities” 1).

Such children cannot directly tell us about their problem and it helps to create make-belief as if they do not exist. It is scientifically proved that exceptional children in many cases have certain potential inside of them which can be unfolded in the atmosphere of special personal approach. In many cases disabled students have strong potential in some other spheres of their lives. Just like in a teenagers’ movie “The girl next door”, only one “outcast” noticed and helped a boy from some rough country to come to study in US. This newcomer was exceptional, as his environment could not provide him with opportunities for self-development. He was expected to become a new Einstein or to find out cancer treatment. But until he was noticed, nobody tried to help him. Although it was not easy to overcome difficulties, it shows us that treating this problem is possible. The fragile soul should not be set against oneself and against other people.

There is a common opinion about exceptional children, suchlike about the educational problems, diseases, problems concerning communication. Talking about exceptionality we should take into consideration that it means child’s low general intellectual development which makes a great influence on the educational process. Sometimes it is necessary to hammer knowledge in their heads and sometimes these children are so quick on the uptake that teachers feel not only uncomfortable but in some case not as intelligent as exceptionality children. But instructors should not omit these pupils and students in special programs and projects aiming to develop gifted children.

The problem is that parents today do not consider their obligation to be the ones who will always understand, help and be there for their kids when they require special approach and understanding. Nowadays there are various centers and organizations which work particularly in this area and provide professional help for the exceptional children and their families. These establishments work to improve and influence public which can and constantly does affect children with exceptionalities who suffer from disabilities or have special unfolded gifts and talents.

Another problem which can appear is autism. This disease is a result of neurological disorder as well as attention deficit disorder. This disease affects functioning of the brain, especially in the areas of communication and interaction with public. Exceptionality can also be expressed in communication disorders which make informational exchange with another people more difficult. There can also appear a problem of learning disability or mental retardation which is expressed through limitations in intelligence or in limitations of an adaptive behavior

Just try to imagine that you lack something in finding out about the world; something in your senses, feelings, emotions, mental reactions. But at the same time you can see what other people cannot see and you cannot share it with others. In spite of different diseases and problems exceptional children have to receive their portion of attention and care.
