Plagiarism has always been one of the most serious issues in the educational paradigm because it disrupts both ethical and academic aspects of obtaining a degree. Along with other disciplines, nursing educators face plagiarism cases on a regular basis. When dealing with the following problem in the context of nursing, there are various types of plagiarism the students are not even aware of, meaning they sometimes plagiarize the thoughts and ideas of other people unintentionally. The examples of plagiarism include:
- Explicit plagiarism, which is detected when nursing students intentionally present the ideas and scholarly works of other people as their own.
- Implicit plagiarism, which is identified when students tend to translate a piece of information without indicating the primary source, as they believe that such option will provide them with a copyright on the work.
- Implicit plagiarism, which takes place when students fail to cite the information source.
