Abstract
Research analysts have come up with different definitions for learning but the universal and most accepted definition is that learning is the change in someone’s knowledge (Butcher, 2008). The change is always permanent and is most of the time based on the experience of another person.
For learning to be considered effective, the instructor must always be able to use instructional material in which the learners will be able to learn from the experiences. In addition to that, learning take time and effort for the learner to be able to understand more clearly whatever the instructor is teaching him/her.
Research analysts have also found out that technology is one of the most important factors that can be manipulated to be used by the instructors in the learning process.
The internet has become one of the most important tools in term of research and as such the instructor must be able to use the internet as an instructional material so as to make the learning experience more effective and more interesting. It is for this reason that research analysts have recommended the use of the technological advancements in the learning process (Butcher, 2008).
Thesis Statement
With reference to the given question, this paper with create an internet “cheat sheet” that will be used by an instructor in the learning process so as to increase the effectiveness and in turn help the student to conduct research on their own.
In addition to that, this paper will discuss the planning process for the use of instructional material that may be used by the learners in a bid to increasing the effectiveness of the learning process. This paper will also indicate how the planning process will meet the individual needs of the learners with regard to the learning process which will in turn increase the effectiveness of the learning process.
The Learning Module
An instructor must be able to create a learning module that is going to help the students to understand the given topic which will in turn lead to effective learning (Newby et al., 2011).
A learning module is a presentation in which the student is able to follow up on the topic that is being taught and as such enable him / her to follow on the topic leading to the effectiveness. The author of this paper will create a learning module that will help medical students and other health care student to be able to improve on the kind of health care services that they will be offering to their clients.
The most important part of the creation of a learning module is the planning process in which all factors that are involved in the process of the creation of the learning module have to be taken into consideration thereby leading the effective use of the learning module (Butcher, 2008).

The learners who are targeted by the learning module that is being created by the author of this paper are post graduate students in medical services who are going to be taught on how they are going to improve the medical services that they are offering to their clients.
The author of this paper took into consideration the factors that have been stated above and came up with an effective planning process that will help in the creation of the learning module. The method by which the author of this paper will be able to deliver the learning module to the learners is by use of very effective presentation software. In this case the author of this paper chose to use Microsoft PowerPoint which is very effective presentation software and can be used to present the learning module to the learners.
For any learning module to be effective in its purpose, it must be able to reflect the activities that the learners go through on a day to day basis and as such the students will be able to connect and interact with the learning module because they will be able to understand what is entailed of them (Newby et al., 2011).
In this case, the author of this paper is creating a learning module for medical students who have worked in different health care facilities in the world and as such the learning module must be able to involve them so as to effective. The author of this paper took into consideration the fact that it was important to connect with the students so that they can be able to understand correctly what the learning module is all about and how they be involved in the learning process.
In addition to that, the author of this paper was able to create a learning module that has helped in building the students’ character considering the events that they go through on a day to day basis. This will in turn translate to the students gaining more expertise from the learning module hence leading to the success of the learning module.
The author of this paper also took into consideration the technological developments which will in turn affect the health care industry hence the need to be updated at all times with the new developments. The other use of the technological advancement is the use of the internet as a research tool which has helped the author of this paper in finding the information that is necessary in the creation of the learning module.
The use of the internet is very important in the creation of a learning module because the author was able to get credible information with regard to the health care industry which was included in the learning module in a bid to helping the learners to understand more clearly the topic that is being taught thereby leading to the effectiveness of the learning module in helping the students to improve on the health care services that they offer to their clients.
In addition to that, the learning module that was created by the author of this paper was short and was able to actively engage the students who were learning from the learning module. For a learning module to be effective, it has to be short and straight to the point in that it must be able to actively engage the mind of the learner thereby creating an interest in the topic that is being taught.
This will lead to an increase in the attention that is paid to the learning module thereby increasing the effectiveness of the learning module with regard to passing on the intended message from the topic involved. The learner will conduct the assessment on themselves to gauge the limit to which they understand the topic and this is very important in that they must be able understand the topic for the learning module to be effective in its purpose. The learners will also know where in the topic they will need more training and as such they will be able to consult the instructor to be further instructed on what to do.
In addition to that, the software that was used by the author of this paper in creating the learning module is easy to navigate and such the students were able to use the learning module on their own without the need of having to be instructed on how to use the software.
It is very important to take into consideration the software that is used in the creation of the learning module because by creating a learning module using very complicated software, this will limit the learners from being able to access the learning module on their own without the instructions from the instructor (Newby et al., 2011).
The students must be able to navigate the learning module on their own without having to wait for the instructions from the instructor which will increase the effectiveness of the learning module towards helping the learners to understand more about the topic that is being taught through the learning module.
In addition to that, the software the is used in the development muse be readily available hence making it easy for the student to have access to it thereby helping him / her have an interest in the learning module that has been created by the instructor.
The learning module that was created by the author of this paper was aimed at helping the learner have more confidence in themselves so that they can be able to deliver the best quality of health care services to their clients.
For a learning module to be considered effective, it must be able to deliver on the main principles that were set by the creator of the learning module in that the learners must be able to understand the topic more clearly as has been elaborated in the learning module thereby increasing the effectiveness of the learning module.
The learning module that was created by the author of this paper was effective in the sense that it was able to build the confidence of the learners in creating confidence in them thereby increasing the quality of health care services that they offer to their clients.
In addition to that, the learning module was able to impact knowledge in the learners as to how they can be able to deliver quality health care services to their clients of which 92% of the learners that were involved in the process had a positive response to the learning module that was created and as such were able to a better quality of health care services to their clients.
The outcome of the learners was assessed by the assessment questions that were placed to their clients. Most of the clients had positive responses to the quality of the health care services that were offered to them.
In this sense, the author of this paper was able to understand more clearly that the learning module was very effective in its bid to helping the students in increasing the quality of health care service.
According to an assessment question that was placed to the learners, the main reason for the effectiveness of the learning module is the way in which it was presented to them. 80% of the learners were able to interact with the learning module in the sense that the topic that was being elaborated was interesting thereby creating an interest in the learners thereby increased the effectiveness drastically.
Another aspect that increased the effectiveness of the way by which the learning module was introduced which helped in creating an interest in the students thereby increasing the effectiveness.
86% of the learners involved in the learning module were captivated by the introduction to the learning module which helped a great deal in the development of interest by the learners and as such the learners were able to understand the topic that was being taught thereby increasing the effectiveness which was to help the students in improving the quality of health care services that they offer to their clients.
In addition to that, 65% were able to understand the language that was used in the learning module thereby increasing the effectiveness because they were able to interact with the learning module and learnt more with regard to the topic that was being taught through the learning module. On the other hand, some of the students were able to learn more from the learning module because of the software that was used which was easy to navigate without having to wait for the instructions of how to use it from the instructor.
Internet “Cheat Sheet”
The aim of creating the internet “cheat sheet” is to give students tips of how the would be able to get relevant information from the internet. In addition to that, the “cheat sheet” also gives the students tips of which types of websites that they would be able to get relevant and credible information when it comes to the finding of information from the internet (Levine & Young, 2011).
The internet which is one of the commonly used types of database has websites some of which do not have the type of information that would be necessary for the students when performing their research (Levine & Young, 2011).
The internet “cheat sheet” that was created by the author of this paper gives the students precautions about visiting this type of websites which may have information that is not credible and may also have information that has not been verified which may mean that it may not be relevant to the research that the students are doing.
In addition to that, the internet “cheat sheet” gives the students a precaution that some of the websites that they may visit may contain harmful content that may in one way or the other be very harmful to their computers. These types of websites are becoming very common in the internet where the content that is contained in the sites is very harmful. These sites may also contain viruses that may affect the computer in one way or the other and thus the need to warn the students about this type of sites.
On the other hand, the internet “cheat sheet” gives the student a very helpful hint about verifying their information by looking for secondary sources that verifies the information that they have got over the internet. It is very important to verify the information contained in the internet by looking for secondary sources because this will them ascertain whether the information that has been acquired from the internet is credible and thereby can be able to use it in their research (Levine & Young, 2011).
Conclusion
In conclusion, a learning module is a presentation that can be used by instructors in helping the learners to understand more clearly the topic that is being taught. In addition to that, the learning module is a very important tool that can be used by instructors in a bid to increasing the effectiveness of the learning process towards the students.
Factors that have to be taken into consideration when creating a learning module include the grade level and subject being taught in that the instructor must be able to fully understand the learners before creating a learning module. This will help in developing the learning module in that the instructor will be able to create a learning module that is interesting to the learners involved.
On the other hand, the instructor must also take into consideration the purpose of the learning module while creating the learning module in that the learning module must be able to cater for the specific needs of every student with regard to helping increase the effectiveness of the learning process.
