The decision to buy a new asset varies among hospitals but reasons include, automation, better services from the new machine or efficiency in hospital operations. Buying an asset is a costly investment which needs to be thought and well interpolated. Cost benefit analysis of the investment should be done to ensure that an asset acquired results to a gain to the hospital.
