The #Bloomieselfie instagram contest was looking for fans in general but women were selected because beauty tips are of more value to them as compared to men. The issue that was being addressed by this competition was conducting an informative campaign on beauty tips (McCarthy, 3013).
Considering the problem situation, many women are not informed of various beauty tips they can apply. In addition, while the #Bloomieselfie Instagram contest was in progress campaigns had to be run so as to inform the fans of the various entrants and to present an opportunity for them to vote.
