Introduction

Zappo’s organizational culture is strong since the company is committed to pursuing its values in all aspects of operations. By definition, organizational culture is the set of values and principles that a company follows in its day-to-day work. The secret to cultivating the qualities required for commercial success is great company culture.

Discussion

The management sees the results in your bottom line since companies with healthy cultures have a 1.5 times higher likelihood of experiencing three years of revenue growth of 15% or more and a 2.5 times higher likelihood of experiencing three years of notable stock growth (Wong, 2020). Zappos follows a holocracy approach, where there is no management. The core of this approach is self-management, and as was noted in the case study, this business offers a fee to new employees who do not feel that they can fit into this organizational culture. This example shows that Zappos not only has a strong organizational culture but also follows its principles meticulously.

Like any other online company, Zappos was affected by COVID-19, and the management implemented some measures as a response. According to Gross (2020), for the most part, customer service professionals frequently deal with a high volume of complaints from unhappy clients, late deliveries, and other sources. But the mood has shifted recently as a result of people’s struggles with monetary insecurity, estrangement from their friends and family, and uncertainty.

Conclusion

Some customers do not appear to view calls as a sort of work but rather seem to enjoy talking to the person on the other end of the line (Gross, 2020). With its new customer service strategy, Zappos has proven that its organizational culture is truly its main value.
