Report. In this reflection, you should have one paragraph briefly describing the event. What is the name of this community and when did you attend their gathering? Attach the photo you took at the gathering to this assignment.
Observing henotheistically. Your next section should express in complete thoughts the three (at least) observations that you made about how this community demonstrated their loyalty to their god/s or the community itself.
Assessing henotheistically. Your third section should reflect upon what aspects of the event made you feel that you could fully participate in the rituals of this community AND/OR what made you feel that you should not fully participate in the rituals of this community. For example, did the officiant for the service specifically address that certain rituals were only for the insiders? If there was not explicit statement, how did you feel about participating fully as an outsider? How would one know that they could or could not?
Religion Matters in Social Identities and Boundaries. Your fourth section should attempt to describe this group without using the term that identifies this group (for example, Buddhist, Muslim, Catholic, Quaker, etc.). In other words, based on your experience with this group on the day you visited, how would you complete this thought? “This group is the community that…”

The Matter of These Religions. Your sixth section attempts to analyze these communities through the questions that we have encountered from God is Not One. How would you apply the four parts of Prothero’s approach to religions to what you observed? In other words, what do you think were the “Problem, Solution, Technique, and Exemplars” for these communities based on your limited engagement with these groups? From this analysis, what do you think matters more to the group: practice or doctrine? Why?
Reassessing Religion Matters. Your final section should reference your Introduction Essay and the definition that you gave in that essay for “Religion Matters” and answer these questions. How did this community support your definition and/or how did this community fall outside of your definition?
