Introduction

Movies can be described as events or stories that are always recorded. In this case, movies can be watched anywhere. This can be either at home or at the movie theatres. As a matter of fact, it is far as staying at home or going out is concerned. This can be looked at depending on the individual in question to suit his preference (King, 2002, p. 39).

Various people can either go out or stay at home and this will depend on what they want (Cook., 2007, p. 12). As far as this paper is concerned, it is better to compare and contrast the two options. Going to the movies can be a great deal but it is also good to stay at home and watch a movie.

Discussion

As far as costs are concerned, it is much cheaper to stay at home and watch a movie than going to the movies. This is because people who stay at home will save a lot of money. In this case, both people can spend some good time either at home or at the movies. It is essential to go out and have some fun but this should be done cautiously because it is better to save (Rocchio, 2000, p. 34). The general financial aspect of these two options has been the most controversial issue that will always pop up.

It should be known that going to the movies and staying at home can both be used to catch up with friends while socializing. This is because it sounds better to watch a movie with a friend than doing it alone (Cook., 2007, p. 25).

Staying at home and watching a movie saves a lot of time and aggravation. This is because you will be in the comfort of the house meaning that you will not travel to the theatres. In this case, individuals at home can save a lot of time and hustles to do something else. Comfort is a very important thing as far as watching movies is concerned (Cook., 2007, p. 19).

This means that watching a movie at home offers a lot of relaxation than going out to watch a movie. As a matter of fact, you can sit and watch a movie in a shirt and short which can never be possible in a movie theatre (Merritt, 2000, p. 23).

Both options require some attention because you can not watch a movie if you are not focused. This means that you are supposed to focus your mind and eyes on the screen to follow what is showing. Watching a movie at home comes with a lot of distractions because there are people around you who might require one thing or the other (Cook., 2007, p. 78).

This can not happen in a movie theater because everybody is there to watch a movie and distractions can not be allowed. As a matter of fact, any distraction can not be entertained because everybody is there with a common interest.

Conclusion

When it comes to superiority and quality, it is better to watch a movie at the theaters than doing this at home. In this case, the screens and sound are well installed thereby ensuring that everything is okay. There is freedom as far as both options are concerned. This means that in either case, an individual can not be forced to watch a movie that he/she is not interested in (King, 2002, p. 12).

Such an aspect is very important because you can not be forced upon something that you are not interested in. In conclusion watching a movie at the theaters and at home can offer us the entertainment that we want depending on our preference and choice (Cook., 2007, p. 64).
