Step 1: Update your existing resume or create a new resume. A draft of your resume is due at the end of Week 3. This activity gives you an opportunity to reflect on your professional and academic achievements.
Step 2: In 2-3 paragraphs, write a personal learning narrative that describes your collegiate learning journey, how it shaped you, and describe your professional goals. There is a space for this within the portfolio template.
Step 3: Review the 11 UMGC university goals (listed below) and think about what each one means to you. As you do, look for patterns or connections between the goals and academic work (assignments/project) that you completed in the past. You will divide the 11 university goals into groups of 2, 3 or 4. As you consider how to group the goals, you might end up with 3 to 4 groupings. The goals in each group will need to be supported by artifacts (past assignments/projects). The portfolio template provides some structure for organizing this section of the portfolio.
