here is the guideline: The paper must end with some interesting issues or questions related to hospitality
marketing (e.g. consumer behavior, promotion, pricing, and other topics we covered in this quarter) that need to be addressed by research.
The mini proposal presentation should include the following sections with clear section
titles:
• Introduction: This section should provide an overview of the proposed research (The
background of your chosen topic, why it is important, what you plan to accomplish in
this research project, etc.).
• Literature review**: A critical review of relevant concepts and principles, theories,
and empirical studies. You should review a minimum of SEVEN journal articles on
your selected topic. Normally 10-15 articles are recommended.
THIS IS IMPORTANT
A literature review is an attempt to show that a researcher has studied the scope of
the subject being investigated and can speak with some authority throughout the
paper. Please don’t simply list summaries of studies. This is not just ‘literature’; you must ‘review’ them critically and creatively. For example, instead of simply
presenting each article you read, you should discuss each construct/concept with various empirical evidence. In other words, you should synthesize the articles you
read in a logical way that can smoothly lead to your proposed research questions/hypotheses (next section).
Research questions and/or hypotheses development and supporting rationale: This
section should be a natural flow from your literature review section.

Your presentation should be about 10 minutes (max 15 minutes).
