Assessment Brief
One of the essential skills for postgraduate students and/or researchers, is the ability
to critically evaluate information. This skill is particularly important to the understanding
of other researchers’ work and the production of literature reviews, where a critical
appraisal or analysis of the literature is required.
Write a report in which you critically analyse two provided research papers, which are
both from academic journals in the field of project management. The two research
papers are below:
Chapman, R. J. (2016). A framework for examining the dimensions and characteristics
of complexity inherent within rail megaprojects. International Journal of Project
Management, 34(6), 937-956.
de Carvalho, M. M., Patah, L. A., & de Souza Bido, D. (2015). Project management
and its effects on project success: Cross-country and cross-industry comparisons.
International journal of project management, 33(7), 1509-1522.
This assignment requires you to produce a well-structured essay. As usual, full
