The Bachelor of Commerce in Law academic study for entry into a profession is supplemented by an experiential period of learning.
The experiential period involves exposure to a real-life workplace environment, allowing students to gain practical experience in the application and use of knowledge and skills attained through their studies.
Experience shows that the integration of theory and experiential learning results in graduates who are both more mature and employable. Work experience encourages students to develop a greater sense of responsibility, find greater meaning in their studies, develop self-confidence, and gain exposure and experience in working with different types of people. 60 hours / two weeks of Practical Workplace Learning, as part of the Work Integrated Learning module.
The purpose of Practical Workplace Learning is to:

Develop on-the-job work experience prior to graduation, thus ensuring that students are exposed to real life work environments and activities.

Facilitate student’s acquisition of a deeper knowledge and understanding of their discipline and the world of work, through the application of their knowledge and skills in real life work situations.

Enhance links with professional, business, and public sector organisations.
As such, students will be assessed, by their Practical Workplace Learning Supervisor, on their ability to:

Solve problems and improve performance.

Work with others within a real-life work environment.

Integrate module knowledge with real life work situations.

Demonstrate aptitude in receiving and following instructions.
You are required to write approximately 100 words per question.
The goal of the reflection exercise is to provide you, the student, with an opportunity to think back on the experience of Practical Workplace Learning, and evaluate how it went, consider how you might do things differently in future, and reflect on what you have learned.
